I was born in 88. So listening to the song as a kid, I would just sing along, and what the song was actually saying never really occurred to me. But listening to it now, at 34, with more dead friends than any 75-year-old should have, this mess hits hard. Sometimes growing up really does suck.
@imzoltan Жыл бұрын
Imagine not being able to grow old though. That sucks, too.
@mosswine5417 Жыл бұрын
@@imzoltan exactly. I used to think growing old sucks. But I too, was born in the early 90’s and most of the kids I grew up with from the time are dead, in prison or on the run! Our minds were not in the right place. And many are stuck with that fucked up mentality they develop as they grow. I realized all long as I’m still alive I should be grateful and have many opportunities, because there are many that didn’t have that chance to even get their minds right before it was too late! So it would be extremely disrespectful to those that died too early or did something for me to say life sucks and just give up!They are part of the reason I should keep going. They should be part of your motivation. Being able to grow old is what we should look forward to. Sometimes I wish I could go back in time and tell everyone to get their minds right before they make fucked up decisions that end them!

JUST heard about the band and checking out the songs. Heard of them cuz my son is using "PRETTY FLY" as his walk-in anthem for his first amateur boxing match. Hilarious ... not up there with "bye, bye, miss American pie", but sure rings true for all generations. Global elite definitely rushing the rest of us into poverty. The son has lost dozens of military-met friends to suicide over the last six years. All that can be said is flip life the bird, go into mma and slap or choke someone out; for therapy.

No offense but it's literally the exact same thing as the video. There is no point of typing the lyrics when it's already in the screen 👁👄👁

This song makes me sad as I realize that I have seen the world for what it truly is since I was 8. Now I'm 13 and I have 2 memories of me being happy from my childhood. What happened

@@bk7064 The last time I went to hang out with my friends some random old dude started following me. I called the cops on him and hid from him in the neighborhood across from mine.

I was a teenager when the opioid crisis hit my state, it changed the town for the worse and by the time you were a senior in highschool you saw it effecting the kids. By the time I was a young adult so many of the friends I knew in highschool were zombies i no longer recognized. Everyone once in a while one would remember you and you’d see a little glint in their eyes, like a corpse waking up. But that’s all it was, brief reanimation.

We still have a chance to turn this around. One last chance before the planet burns and humanity no longer has a home. Where there’s a chance there’s a way, and we need to cling to that hope.

I had a friend who dropped out and had a couple of kids Ive had a friend who still lives at home and plays guitar and smokes a lot of pot. Ive had a friend who committed suicide Ive had a friend who OD’d and died. This is why I love this song. So true. And yes, I agree. What the hell is going on? Cruelest dream-reality.

"jay commited suicide" always freaked me out because my name is jay and i used to be a happy kid with my best friend but we got depressed and i almost killed myself, i really missed when we used to be happy, now we can't even see eachother for years

When I was a teenager I had a bright future. I had a wonderful family, I was good-looking, all of my friends adored me. I was supposed to become a sensation of tennis, I was the lead singer of my own Metal band, and I volunteered in the Red Cross rescuing people from car accidents or needing assistance once a week... Now at 45 I am the one staying home smoking pot all day, my girlfriend (when we were teenagers) committed suicide not even 2 years ago like my friend Theo and Alex died of overdose. This song is too painful and TRUE💔 😢
