Future reference, Google maps allows you to download areas. This gives you directions even without a signal 😎 it's how I do all my foreign trips!

What a fun vlog! So glad to see you guys living it up and enjoying your rare time without the kids! I hope they have an amazing week at camp too. By the way Kim, Lola may have the biggest bag ever made, but let's be real: all her stuff is somewhere in there, right? It shouldn't take more than like 4 or 5 hours to find any one thing..... Lol! Jk... But seriously, I don't think she'll have any issues finding her swimsuit. She's smart and ambitious, she'll find everything. And PC will have the time of his life I think. He is high energy, ideal for such a camp. I think he's going to become the most popular kid there! I predict he'll be the one kid that absolutely everyone (kids, staff, etc) absolutely loves! Ironically we flew the opposite... to NC from CA this year to send our 2 kids to camp! Also the XL rolling duffle from pbteen is great! Once unpacked it rolls up into a compact bundle and fits under your bed.

I have been going to camp for 6 years, I am 12 and started in first grade, an I LOVE IT!!! Last year, Jul-Aug, I when to my first month long and it was great!!!

OMG Penn!!!! You are my long lost spirit animal brother!!! Trip binders Hollah!!!! :) Gotta have the trip binder/bible!!! People may laugh at us but who's laughin' when there's no cell service or the phone is dead or you've lost the phone and therefore don't have the directions or confirmation numbers or boarding passes...huh? Lola's bunk is nice because you can almost stand up on it. My top bunk at camp was close to the ceiling and had an air duct sticking out halfway over it. Still loved camp!

35 years ago I left my kids behind and went on an overnight white water rafting trip. A woman asked if I had kids. Yes. She says “I bet you miss them”. I replied “No. I forgot I had them until you brought them up”. LOL

California ?!!! Good Lord when I was a kid and school was out one of the local farmers would pick me up early morning and work me on their farm all day till 4 or 5 pm or later till I was sunburned and stuff some cash in my hand and give me a big pile of potatoes or tomatoes or melons ..... You get it. We're talking eastern North Carolina. Nice bath,dinner,bedtime. Up next morning and back to work. I made alot of money as a kid. I also had a bunch of lawns I cut. I usually had 3or 4 bicycles,multiple fishing poles,8 or 10 BB guns and 1to 3 girlfriends. That was my summer camp.

You guys should try out Kennolyn camps! It's an awesome camp based in santa Cruz California with week and 2 week long options! Personally I am a 9 year camper

So glad you are enjoying the "entire" area! Often people go and just stay in one spot! My favorite area in Jan. to see the pups on the beach and enjoy Monarch butterfly migration. Looking forward to seeing what else you'll be doing.
