Excellent - and there's nothing wrong with trying to do the dances - it does make for some funny mosh pits. This was their very first song. It was recorded in 2010, Su was 12, Yui and Moa were 11. The video was filmed in 2011 when they were 13 and just turned 12 I think. The girls were very proud of themselves for teaching Babybones in the skeleton suits the choreo. Now watch again and see if you can spot the 5 animated skeletons (Mr Bones) dancing with them in the bedroom.

The best part is that the “killer eye” you’re referring to and focus on in the video is Yui’s, not Su’s. Su has that death stare, but Yui will take your soul, man. Moa...well, give her some fried chicken or pizza and she’ll be fine.

They were dressed so similarly along with any make-up and their hair and similar heights that it is impossible without a behind-the-scenes video of the making of it to tell who is who. BakaOppai - I wholeheartedly disagree. Do I think there is too much electronic to some of the songs? Yes, but I still like a vast majority of this newest album. I do think it’s missing something, but I’m giving them a pass on this because it’s the first album without Yui. There was going to be a big difference in how things went for it and as a fan, you should be willing to give them a chance to work through it. I have to believe a good portion of these songs were written around the time of Yui going out, so we were getting pretty much this album no matter what. Given the time it takes to record a song, create and learn the choreography, and everything else, it would be silly to think otherwise. So do you not like it because of Yui being gone, or because you legit dislike the songs?

I don't know why more metal bands don't record songs about deciding on your lip gloss and cute hairstyle for school. : ) 'Doki Doki ☆ Morning' was the very first BABYMETAL song, music video, etc. Pretty much everything that followed was because this unexpectedly blew up online. Their original budget was so small that Su's coat was borrowed from one of the Sakura Gakuin teachers. Moa's vest was borrowed from Yui, and Yui borrowed hers from Raura, a fellow Sakura Gakuin student. The girls taught the skeleton dudes the dance moves themselves. The last live performances of this song were at the 'Legend S' concerts for Su's 20th birthday in December 2017. I saw it at the Palladium in L.A., earlier that year.

Did she have the twin tails in this? The shots in the red room look like the single ponytail, but the ones with the Baby bones is a little more difficult. It still looks like a single tail most of the time, just kind of teased out to look different. I think I’ve only seen Su with twin tails once or twice, and that was a live performance of “Iine” for SG.

...and that's how it all started... Su (13, almost 14), Moa (12) and Yui (12) by the time of the shooting of the video. I love these years, the path of the rise of Babymetal... just a "heavy-music" club of Ssakura Gakuin in the beginning and very soon after, a act to stick around for many years to come... we'll see where they go, but for me the years between 2011 and 2016 is where I most love them and where (IMHO) they got their peak and really became legendary ... no one will ever do it like they did as it's such a unique act. This starting point is just adorable - although I understand the confusing thoughts for those who see this MV for the first time... for me it was all good, weird and strange, but all good ... I think I was going "OMG, so cool, so cool, adorable, heavy, scary, OMG, I love it..." .... The first Babymetal album is, for me, a pearl in rock history... it's really chaotic with so much mix of styles but, nevertheless, perfect! PS - I would still go back in time and say that it all started with Karen Girls "Over The Future" ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/paXRY4h4YrZqhtk ) with Su (and Ayami)... Yui was a fan back in the day and wanted to be like Su... later on, they all got together in Sakura Gakuin, Yui and Moa got in after this really kawaii "Over The Future" choreography ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5WvoJyjn8aYhdU )... a few years later we have the cherry on top: Babymetal in one of the IDZ concerts, Yui has her dream come true - perform "Over The Future" ... Yui and Moa start it off and crowned by Sumetal ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYXMYpylrdGFeck ) and it's one of my fav moments (of many) of Babymetal in these years... (the enthusiasm in this performance is off the charts, specially for Yui, I'm guessing... and the music itself has such a nostalgic feeling at this point...) There are so many moments, stories, curiosities, etc etc in the "Babymetal Book of Lore" ... that's stuff of legends :-D

Yes, Junna's around 23, a year older than Su-metal. People often seem to assume Junna's much younger than she actually is. Maybe it's because there are other drummers who are very young, like Yoyoka. Or maybe it's the twintails or the infectious glee she exhibits while playing.
