@elcapitan61262 жыл бұрын
Interesting cuz to my ears it sounds over enunciated. I like the stylistic way vocalists can sing a line that can sound like more than one phrase. Kinda otherworldly.
@andreacolbert41542 жыл бұрын
You need the vocals to sit in front of the mix, they generally should take centre stage. Particularly if you're adding sfx such as reverb and distortion.
@smandy1212 жыл бұрын
He has remarkable clarity ( and I get the jibe also integrity ). So I agree 🙂
@falconcorban4128 Жыл бұрын
It's not just the voice, he's singing an old rock song and keeping somewhat true to the original. It isn't just that people don't sing clear, but noticed a lot of songs these days have far to much base to them that drown out the vocals. If you listen to 90s-80s and before in Rock, you'll notice the lyrics are very clear... The singers don't need base and other instrumental to drown out either bad or lazy singing, the instrumental compliments the vocals, lol. This guy has a good voice, so was a bit surprised hearing a more modern band do this song some justice, so many remakes of songs these days are just meh....
@pauljordan44524 ай бұрын

If a boy had a chance A chance with someone like you Are you gonna break his heart? Let him cry for the moon? Are you hiding somewhere behind those eyes? I just freeze Every time you see through me And it's all over you Electric blue On my knees Help me, baby Tell me, what can I do? Electric blue Oh, I had a dream For a moment I believed it was true Oh, I'd have given anything Just to be there with you Are you hiding Somewhere behind those eyes? I just freeze Every time you see through me And it's all over you Electric blue In too deep Standing here waiting As I'm breaking into Electric blue I can see Can see that it may be just a vision for you Electric blue On my knees Help me, baby Tell me what can I do? Electric blue

I wanted to hear this song but didn't want to feel old, and then I found this! Wow I can't stop listening to this! This version is actually better, the lead singers voice is so clear

Recently announced that Ice House & The Killers will be performing at the Adelaide 500 Supercars race this December. It will be interesting if the bands co-join for this song.

So difficult to cover Iva Davies. David Bowie adored Iva’s voice. Said it was like silk. So they did a great job. But just makes me want to listen to the original now

Iva asked should i release it, and they said if you don't we will...

@@waznik1 i read the same article: John also said, while writing it, "this is a hit". Shows his pedigree as a hit making machine (that those two were, hall and oates). Most artists have no idea if they're writing hits. Hits are a hit and miss process.

I love Ronnie rocking it at the back. Imagine Brandon became a golfer. The world would have been so much worse off. Like someone said previously he is so handsome you can't look at him straight and sending joy into the world. The Killers makes my soul rejoice

I actually met Brandon during his "Flamingo" tour and can attest that he is hard to look at face to face because of the ridiculous handsomeness. My friends and I joked that you need to talk to him peering through a pinhole in cardboard like you would an eclipse!

One of my Top 5 bands covering one of my Top 5 80s tracks. If there was a Killers "80s cover" album it'd be a goldmine.

Flowers released their album Icehouse, then had to change their name because there was already an international act called the Flowers, so they became Icehouse. Same band. 😊

@@kimberleyfarley6021 yes it was a Scottish band i know cause I'm old lol and love home grown music from Australia. Some of their great hits to listen to are 'Hey Little girl' it reminds me of Bowie he also loved them actually and invited them to be a part of his tour in Europe. Iva has a similar voice to Bowie that's for sure. Hey Sister, Crazy, No Promises, Great southern Land, We can get together, love in motion, don't believe anymore, Cant help myself, Nothing to serious, Walls, Ms Divine (about a gangster hooker from sydney Tilly Divine in the 1900s/20s lol)
