I've taught my daughter the basics of "good" 80s and "bad" 80s, but soon I'll have to introduce her to the handful of songs, like this one, that transcended 80s cheese to become something truly f***ing glorious. I mean it's remarkable. These guys could barely keep a straight face when they made this video, yet... this song is pure magic. You cannot make a better pop song than this. I defy you to do it. You cannot.

Not an Aussie myself. I was born and grew up in the small town of Klang in Malaysia back in the 90s with lots of relatives living in AUS. Somehow growing up in that era, this song was always playing at Lite & Easy FM (our local retro English radio station). Thought I hardly hear the song ever again after the 2000's, it was only until when I was doing my postgraduate studies in Sydney when I somehow stumbled over it again at Coles in Broadway playing it. The moment I heard it, I said 'Hey this was the song, damn this definitely brought so much memories of the good old days'. Then I realized the video was shot in CBD Sydney. Cheers mate!

So true, what have we allowed the world to become is sad, things are not oging in the right direction and we are being lead the the slaughter and these songs are from a time when things certainly werent perfect but people were happy , had hope, and looked towards the future with happiness and positive ideas, now, no, the media tries to tell us these are great times but most of us see through the charade. I would move out of big cities while you still can.
