The Killers - Mr. Brightside Bass Cover (With Tab)

Bass cover of Mr. Brightside by The Killers. Made a bass cover of this song back in 2014, but wasn't quite happy with it. Was basically waiting to revisit this cover once I got a nicer jazz bass, the Mikey Way bass with Elixirs is a killer combo. Also decided to use the original Eb tuning for this cover since most videos out there cover this song in standard. Definitely need the Eb tuning to play the bridge correctly. Enjoy the cover!

how do you mix your bass sound? I can hear your bass clearly on my phone. 😮 I tried increasing the mids but I still can't hear it on bass.😢

I remove the bass from the song uses Moises AI. For the bass tone I use elixir bass strings which are super bright and I take out some of the low end as well. When playing with a band you definitely need the lows, but for a bass cover you actually want to remove some of the low end for the bass to stand out. The Aguilar OD also helps bright out some of the highs/mids. Hope this helps!
