I know what im about to comment might be stupid to most people but here goes. Being able to just pick up the phone and call your dad for help or to let him known where you are going to be is something a lot of people dont have. If you have that, dont take it for granted. I never had that, and and im making it my life goal for my son and daughters to have it. I know its cheese, sorry, carry on. Great job on the builds and adventures.
@billbillinger24912 күн бұрын
@@somedude0505 Not stupid at all. WAY before cell phones, Dad told my brother and I, he didn't care so much as to 'exactly where' we were going, but a general area/ direction...just so he knew where to 'start' looking, should we not show back up at home. Did it with my kids as well. Any smart boater going on 'big water' knows to leave a 'float plan' as well.
@willierule37442 күн бұрын
Bro, that’s not cheesy. I feel the exact same way because I exactly am the same shoes you are and my children call me when they need me and I’m there for them this year. I was able to help my son and stop him from failing and if I wasn’t there for him, he would’ve lost his house his job and everything and I didn’t do much, but I was able to get him another car after he wrecked his just to keep him going but the point of this is when your children need you you gotta be there for them so good for you brother keep that up cause I am the same way and I will do absolutely anything in my power to help. Make sure my children do not fail at what they are trying to do.

I don't have kids to pass it down to, but my dad was my safety net from the time I was a kid until I was well into adulthood. He wasn't overprotective, and he'd let me fail if that was what it was gonna take for me to learn a lesson, but he'd move heaven and earth to help if I needed it. My mom was the same way.

There's nothing more honest and relatable about working one a vehicle with a rear hatch than the struts not working until the work is done

Opening the gas strut will decompress the gas inside, resulting in a drop in temperature and pressure, if it is held open long enough the gas will warm back up to the outside temperature and consequently raise the pressure making the gas struts work temporarily.

Rudy here's a hot tip from an old geezer... Find yourself a broken leaf spring with a sharp edge and one end or the other and lay it across the tire before you run over it with the truck... The problem with just running the tire on tire is that it does not get close enough to the bead to break it... The leaf springs stays close enough to the bead to effectively break the tire off of it

I was not there so I don't know what openings were possible other than the route she took but it's clear that she was trying to prevent a collision !!!!! And I am so glad that she was able to avoid that !!! And that she's okay 👍🏼. It just seems like the other person should have been held responsible for the damage to the Cooper😮 !!!
@paulw31822 күн бұрын
While the damage to the King Cooper is disappointing, your attention to detail and fabrication skills protected your wife and the Cooper during the unplanned 'excursion' On the bright side, the accident made you rethink some of the design choices which will prove useful when rock crawling. Was impressed with her skills setting the bead on those monster tires and fabrication skills. She made the right choice on the blind curve missing the parked truck. You both chose well, what a great friendship and marriage.
