People are still acting like Dricus is shit... It's very disrespectful. Dricus is one of the most well rounded fighters in the ufc right now. I keep hearing people say "why don't his opponents just counter his blitz" and it's insanely hard to counter when dricus is running at them full speed like a rhino swinging haymakers. I don't think people get what he is doing. Not only that, but the take downs that he has in his arsenal are so well timed, and he can hold you down because he's built like a house. I truly believe fighters are surprised at his size when he's in the octagon as well, and that can be mentally draining. Then there is the pace he pushes. The pace is way too much for most of these fighters. Strickland, izzy and Whittaker like a slow paced fight, where whittaker will for most of the match bounce around, then suddenly offer a blitz. This is why Khamzat will not be able to last. He has an insane first round, then he's dead tired.

He's proving that no one knows what they are looking at. He wasn't ever in trouble in that fight. The sub threat never went away... I'm not sure why people thought he's tired so, oh well... Adesanya on his way to... a decision win? You could see Dricus was aware of the counter threat, and styled his blitzes to be both hyper aggressive and hyper defensive, all at the same time. He outkicked Adesanya, his discipline to eat the body shots and not sacrifice the high guard that he likes to use, which made him sort of untouchable for how Adesanya likes to get his knockdowns. DDP chooses to expend energy on grappling. He knows the cost of it, he knows how to fight with that energy drain. But he's forcing his opponents to work, as well, and they are not as happy having to sacrifice a lot of energy getting up, getting up at all costs, because they aren't able to match him on the ground. They are both tired... one comfortable with it, the other, not so much. This makes him a fantastic champion. Everyone goes into his fights thinking he can be beaten. That's exciting. What will DDP do today in order to win? And he comes up with something.

Remember the last round of the Strickland vs. Adesanya fight. Izzy was way down in scorecards yet he cruised himself to "survive" a loss. No will to win. I never will see Dricus having that mentality. There are fights where his sheer will to win got him a "fluke" KO or sub. He will do whatever to get the victory.

Who does Izzy represent?? Not even the African country of his birth or his country of residence sent any representative to walk out with him to the octagon....ever. Izzy is all about himself, and there is no nation that stands behind him proudly. RP MMA, you hit the nail on the head, calling out the SHILLS. Dricus has a WHOLE NATION(black & white) behind him, and his mature conduct makes his nation very proud. Dricus is a great AMBASSADOR for his gym, family, nation, AFRICA, and by default, the UFC. He sportsmanship after a fight brings people together.. ( In rugby be we have a saying that the opponent that hit/tackled you the hardest during the game is the guy whom you have the most beers with after the game) Izzy reminds me of the spoiled soccer players that fake injuries on the field.....'cry babies' in short. A rugby player's sportsmanship in general is just on a different level, compared to the players in a 'softer sport' called soccer. The Izzy mentality and lack of sportsmanship reeks of soccer baby tears. 🇿🇦🇿🇦 We as a NATION .....the WHOLE NATION organicly and spontaneous stands proudly behind Dricus's achievements, but even more so his conduct in and out of the octagon.
