The King of Derp - KV-2 by Tamiya [

It's a good stronk KV-2! One of my favourite tanks... It's bit and dumb and derpy and great and this Tamiya kit does a great job representing it in miniature form!
The detail is quite good, all the parts go together really nicely and the build quality is great. The die cast lower hull gives the model a lot of heft, which I don't feel a need for, but it's not something I have a problem with.

The KV-2 is my favorite WoT tank! I just bought the Bolt Action US starter army, but I almost went for the russian army just so I could use the KV-2. Maybe I’ll just paint one in US cammo. Tanks for the nice video.

It's one of my favourites too. when it wants to co-operate. A US captured KV-2 sounds interesting. Maybe some sort of reverse lend lease or something haha. Also, I see what you did there.

i might get this tank for christmas but if i get it i will paint it with a german paint scheme because i dont have enough money or skills to paint russian troops attacking a german airfield so ill just make the kv 2 a captured one

1/48 KV-2s make for great Ragnarok tanks. And you don't even have to do a hell of a lot to them in the process.

Hi, i would like to swich to a smaller scale than 1/35 and was wondering between 1/48 and 1/56. Wich one do you think is more enjoyable ? And is there more 1/48 véhicules or 1/56 ones ? Great vidéo as allways !!

I dont know about 1/48, but 1/56 (28mm) seems to be mostly wargaming models. Fun to build but relatively low detail. You could check sites like scalemates.com to see if the subjects you want to build are available in either scale.

It really depends on preference. If you want to keep detail comparable to a 1/35th kit while retaining an easy to store/display size then I'd suggest 48th. Especially if you're only interested in modelling and not gaming. 1/56th usually sacrifices allot of finer details and simplifies them as it's a scale geared towards wargaming. However they still are detailed kits and even easier to store and display. The main advantage of 56th over 48th is definitely the range. 48th is still pretty specialised and rare and some models are obscure. 56th is ever growing and has allot of companies working on them in different materials. You also have price differences. 1/56th is usually a little cheaper. For instance a Rubicon sherman at £18-20 with a Tamiya Sherman at £22-25...

But at least my collection could have a same scale betwin aicrafts and land véhicules. Realy would be nice if some more early war kits comme out In 48 scale like Polish and french stuff. Maybe il do some 1/56 the day i found some People to play with.

Vividian 1/56 is usually seen as a gaming scale so from my own personal experience kits in this scale will usually be more expensive than those in 1/48. As far as scale goes the size differences really aren’t so huge so if you want a display model go for 1/48, the detail is usually better anyway.
