He definitely is our patron saint. Heaps of parts at real prices. I was wanting brake parts for mine and he said not to waste my time with a kit for the front master cylinder, just get a new one. I got it and while bored pulled apart the old one. He was so right. I ring up and try to explain what part I need now, and those guys know better than me what I need. My dodgy old Kat is full of parts from Mick Hone. Brakes, clutch, electrics, chain guard, clutch cover bolts, rocker cover gasket, brake kits. So there's always stuff I can do, and stuff I cannot do. So when I got stuck it went to Glenn Henry motorcycles. They said they were having trouble getting a particular part. I told them to ring Mick Hone.

That's the trick to restoring these vintage Japanese machines. If you can still find parts, you can build a nice bike. My 1983 GSX750E-II lives because of spares and factory stuff.

What the hell ? Has happened to Mr Hone , he used to be such a dude , slim & stylish when there were ‘bogans only’ in the bike trade.
