Of all the vids I have watched of Guard and ho SE. This is by far the best one. It wouldn't be a vid without a few idiots disrespecting the guard. Seeing the son smile was really nice and appreciated. Btw anyone notice the guard pulling on rein to move the horses head to one side when tourists held the rein? I sure did.

As far as people who serve in any army, I establish with confidence that some would be much more embarrassed by their parents than others would be by theirs. One needs to be lucky to be born to parents who are less of an embarrassment. Life isn't equally fair to everyone.

I have a great admiration for the guards and their mounts. I feal sorry for the horses under so much stress from the public, they show how stressed they are by constantly chomping on their bit. The guard are impressive in their control of their mount.

Why don't they have signage telling people to not touch the horses headgear and reins? They warn that the horses may bite or kick but they are better behaved than some of those ignorant sightseers who are only concerned about their pictures. Lovely to see the very proud Dad. 🥰

The signs at the site are sufficient. It just needs some visitors to engage their brain and exercise some common sense. They would not then stand close enough to the horse to be able to reach the reins. The Guards and horses must be able to carry out their duties unhindered.

I love this video also! It compares to another Guards mum holding a similar sign. The reactions of father and son were the same. You could see the pride of the father and love for his son and the same from the son! Dad, you and your family raised up a fine young man! Thank you, young trooper, for serving King and Country! My husband and oldest son each served 23 yrs in our own military before retiring. Takes a special family to live it! This young Guard has that! Blessings to Guard and his Dad & family!!

I think it's interesting to watch ppl pose next to these horses and full time soldiers. When next to 2/3 + of a tonne of horse and a trained professional they seem to expose who they really are. Proud fathers ++ and just nice ppl who know how to approach horses. Other vids show other human styles :)
