When visiting Wonderland, he is about to get caught trespassing in rabbit's house, he makes the split second decision to disguise himself to a maid. I don't believe it explained weather the outfit was in the room, if Roxas just carries it with him. He then gets arrested, Loxurd grows up to kaiju size, goes pogg(Poggxurd if you will) destoys the queen's castle and rizzs her by making her a new one with his playing cards. Any questions? Got it memorized?

The Joke Of SAXOR isn't a different combination of the letters or a Deviantart OC thing. It's based on the fact we're shown the letters as Roxas, but Roxas is looking at them from the other side, so it would be mirrored.

I only played the game, so for the longest time, I had NO IDEA why everyone loved Xion so much. I assumed it was because everyone fell in love with sad her story was and forgot how bleh she was for 99% of Days.

@@garrettcarter5622 I know at least another part of why she's so loved by a certain segment of the fanbase (myself included) is that her character resonates for a lot of trans folx, especially with how her coworkers treat her and talk about her. It isn't perfectly one-to-one or anything, but it's an interpretation that absolutely makes her a comfort character for me.

Despite that I should be a part of that certain segment of the fanbase, somehow it just never clicked with me! Yeah, it's not one-to-one, but now that someone is telling me about it, it makes so much sense. Even with just how her existence is, that she's a Replica of a boy, and was expected to be nothing else, but then she "formed her own sense of identity" (literally the in-game words describing the situation) and became a girl as a result... @@Kisaru1000 it didn't totally occur to me until a few years ago, so it's understandable to have not made the connection! Idk if you're familiar with the podcast Got It Memorized (great KH recap podcast with two phenomenally funny hosts who happen to both be trans & nonbinary), but during their episodes about 358/2, they get into that as a topic of discussion, which is what first made that connection for me. Really deepened my appreciation for her as a character. I don't know if Nomura consciously was thinking about this specific thing when developing her character, but it certainly resonates regardless 😃

This was hilarious. Props to everyone who worked on the fake facts. They got you real good. The KH manga is phenomenal at adding memorable interactions to the story. From the absurdity of stuff like the Cid Cannon and the lady who wants to "show Sora around" to the sheer creativity emanating from the increasingly brutal ways they kill off the Org. XIII members, the manga is definitely worth a read.

Your phrasing makes it sound as though you may not be aware that the adaptation you speak of is already underway. Volume 1 has been out for a while. Volume 2 releases in English late this April, according to Chapters. I have no idea where else you can read it; I don't really follow manga online.

I never played 358/2 Days but have read the manga. Two Disney worlds last a little too long but aside from that it does the job rlly well. I'd say that reading a volume while playing KH2 after the prologue also fixes the pacing of that game, uncovering Roxas story little by little works! The manga doesn't even spoil how Riku beats Roxas, it's too perfect.

If you read the manga, many of the KH2 would be easy for you; and that's because many of the worlds in KH2 are skipped in the manga. If I remember correctly they don't add prideland, port royal, 100 acre woods, atlantica and halloween town

Some of these can be inferred if you have an intrinsic knowledge of the games. For example, in the original GBA version of chain of memories that is how vexen dies originally. Additionally, Riku never worked together with his replica so they would have no reason to change clothes. Also goofy probably wouldn’t call squall by his name because everyone just called him Leon anyway. extremely fun game though, test your ability to remember and infer.

Especially because the key goes directly up Mickey's ass, a scathing indictment on what Yen Sid probably wanted to do to Mickey after he took his broken Star Shard during BBS. Absolutely loved the KH manga! Picked up the KH1 Vol 1 & 2 at a scholastic book fair when I was young and it was my most cherished possession. Read all of KH1 and CoM, some of 2. All good!

You read a broken version then. There were 4 manga produced by Tokyo Pop for KH1, 2 for CoM and 2 for KH2 before it got cancelled for one reason or another and recently Oni Press translated the series better and released 2 volumes of KH1, 1 of KH CoM, and they released all of 358/2 and KH2. They're also the ones producing the KH 3 manga.

I personally prefer manga's more lighthearted approach since the whole concept is bit too ridiculous that it is hard to take game's version seriously. I'd say having more lighthearted approach makes darker moments hit more harder. Demyx's death in manga is just more impactful than in games. Though I heard that folks had harder time with his fight so they had sort of catharsis destroying him.

The manga’s not only great for adding personality, but also heightening emotional beats that just weren’t possible with the character models and the engine. An example of this is in KH1 when Goofy and Donald leave Sora behind to follow Riku. In the normal game Sora just kinda falls over, Donald reasons out they should leave and they do. Goofy only looks back once and Donald apologizes very blandly, and both of them don’t seem very torn up- nor Sora, who doesn’t react at all. In the manga, not only is Sora destroyed over losing the keyblade, but when Goofy and Donald leave they have looks of guilt on their faces and are constantly looking back at Sora as they go. Sora also, rather than saying nothing, literally pleads and begs for them to stay before curling up into a literal ball in front of the wooden sword. Considering the fact that Sora is like 14 this tracks way better, and makes him losing the keyblade really hit you way more than the OG did.
