This was my favorite song on the radio when I first became a music fan at age 6.. then "Snoopy and the Red Baron" by The Royal Guardsmen.. along with "They're Coming To Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!" by Napoleon XIV... Mid 1960's radio had a really great sense of humor to complement the British Invasion taking place concurrently, so I was never without some snappy lyrics to amuse my friends with!!! I saw the Kinks in 1979 (early punksters; the Police, actually opened up for them). Definitely one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Who knew they'd be such prodigious influences in pop, rock, and punk!!

He played with The Kinks throughout the remainder of 1969 and into the 1970s and appeared playing bass on such notable songs as "Victoria", "Lola", "Apeman", "Celluloid Heroes", and "Supersonic Rocket Ship". - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Dalton_(musician)
