Dave is playing the Gretsch Firebird, same guitar that Malcolm Young plays. I have the Malcolm Young Gretsch signature. It's a badass guitar. Wish I had one of those originals. The Kinks were way ahead of their time.

They were so amazing they could do this song without microphones - love the kinks - laugh at those 60’s ‘live’ shows - for some reasons the Beatles real live shows survive - interesting

Ray Davies was such a talented and prolific songwriter! He was a true Romanticist who wrote songs which paid homage to women. Davies never wrote misogynistic lyrics which were critical of women. Davies' songwriting rivals the work of Lennon/McCartney! Raul.😐

According to Dave Davies in his autobiography “Kink”, it was Mick Avory’s fault (drummer);all four of them were supposed to sign a form with the American musicians union, and Mick said “I ain’t signing anyfing.” The result was the ban.
