“When the student is ready, the master will appear” - I don’t know I did to deserve stumbling upon this wisdom you freely offer to all but I am beyond grateful for it. Practicing stillness everyday has brought me closer to God than I ever thought possible and has caused some serious spiritual fruit to grow in my life! Hope you all can say the same :)

I found the Rob Inglis reading to be enjoyable and very well done, if not without fault. Took me half of the first book to really settle in to it. Mainly his voices for the hobbits I found to be a bit wide of the mark. In the end I loved it so would recommend anyone to persevere with it!

I've found that I've quite embraced practicing stillness, despite not really believing in any god or gods; but I do think there is a peace and appreciation of life that really comes out of it. Out of all the calamity and chaos our world provides, it also provides such beauty and affirmation that it's worth living in. And if anything your experience with the folks taking a stroll at the end of the video, and just greeting ya, as you said- "They don't interrupt anything." It's all part of the experience. Your videos have helped both as a calming thing, and to help give me some sense of confidence after a lot of harsh events and stuff. Something that's desperately needed given recent times, I feel. Thank you, the two of you, for putting these videos up and sharing your thoughts.

Good morning John and Phil. Well it's early afternoon there. Looks like a pretty day there. Raining here in Kansas. Really enjoyed today message. I love gardening, both flowers and vegetables. I grow a lot of both. I attend church regularly, but have never felt closer to God than when I am working quietly in my own garden. The story of the crosses on the backs of donkeys was wonderful. Very interesting information in this election cycle here in the US. We have a lot of asses in Washington, but I haven't noted any crosses on their backs. Tells me that there is far more virtue to be found in our beasts of burden than in our nation's capital. 😁 Have a lovely week.

Hi John. I came across one of your videos talking to a gentleman and I just had this feeling that you might be a man that may listen to my experience with God and the Spirit and meditation of prayer. You seen like such a gentle soul and I can relate to the things your saying in that video about who we really are and our heart being our real self. I would like to tell you my testimony as I’m a 29 year old woman in Australia. When I was 6 years old my mother was witnessed to be a lady who had this experience with God. She spoke to my mum about how she read in the bible about the need for salvation and being born again and seeking out the real truth of God according to the bible and not religion. This lady had this experience just like in the Acts where the early church had the Holy Spirit poured out upon them and they spoke in tongues as the spirit gave them utterance. So my mother listened to this lady and went along to one of our assembly meetings where she witnessed all the people had this exact experience as the saints in the book of Acts. My mother was baptised by full emersion as Jesus was and then she called upon him for his Holy Spirit, she suddenly was able to speak in another language called tongues. I was always amazed by this as a young child as I always loved the stories in the bible. So when I turned 12 years old I got on my knees and I repeated “ hallelujah” and I opened my heart to Jesus and before I knew it I opened my heart and I felt this pouring out of the Spirit and I could speak in tongues , a language I did not learn as I was not good at learning other languages at school. I knew this was of God, just as we read of the 120 in the upper room that they all had this experience. To this day I have this exact experience and all the people I know have the same experience and we have this closeness to God like your explain but it’s is so deep and so seperate from anything in this world.. to have direct contact with God and his Spirit, being present with God and walking in his Holy Spirit in meekness and humbleness. Not religion but the truth of God as written in the bible for all believers. I was wondering if I could have a chat to you. I know you’re probably a busy man but for some reason I just felt this really strong feeling like perhaps this is something you may like to know about as you seem to be a humble man who would listen.

I think "Acceptance" means to let go all negative emotions regarding something or someone. Or I might say: To me "acceptance" means that.
@palatero4 жыл бұрын
It may go beyond negative emotions though and be about acceptance of all things. We have a tendency towards hope, anticipation, desire and more. These things are not negative emotions, but they are still forms of attachment. When we look back at our past though and see how everything we went through got us to this point we're at now, we see that everything that happened happened as it should have. So why be so filled with hope and anticipation? Remember the miracles, trust the process and find acceptance.

You know what, birds, oddly enough, sing the same way both in Britain and near Moscow in Russia. We are need to think about it, we are all human, and we are all the same, like birds. Some have yellow and some have red or blue feathers. So with us, skin color, language. But we are all Human. We are need to be friends. Mr. John Butler, You look like my great-grandfather. Thank You for Your hard work. And in my country, in Russia, addressing elders in a letter, we highlight their status by simply highlighting the word "You". It made no sense to me as Donkeys have been used and described in writing and pictures long before the Christian era and the dorsal stripes evidently date back far before the Christian era - also they are not visibly evident on all breeds, it depends on their coloring - but it's a cute story for kids I guess.

I think what John is saying with respects to re-incarnation is if one becomes ONE with the ONE, there would be NO need to return as anything else as you already ARE. Now, that being pondered friends... Do recall: That Jesus Christ himself was in essence re-incarnated as he came back for 40 days as INcarnate( or himself) to show,teach and guide his faithfull followers the Perfect way. The way of Love and Bestowel for all of Nature and Mankind. He is here(in us) He is there(Heaven) He is coming back(when Father allows) Be Kind Be of courage Be LIeVE. and BEhave. GOD Bless
