The two black lines in the patio are for drainage since you don’t really have a proper step to get into the indoor spaces like the kitchen and to the dining/living area. Also, in Mexico most new developments like Zibatá have restrictions of the usable area on the back of the plots, and also they require you to leave a side corridor for service and maintenance for the “backyard” that they also force you to have. As for the mysterious ladder on the master bedroom private patio, it’s meant to give access to the rooftop of the studio located below. According to the architects, they saw it as an opportunity to add another contemplative space, just for the owners of the house.

I really believe we are going to see more and more of this trend where certain rooms can open to be an outdoor room depending on weather and season. The kitchen especially will be a big one being able to open it up and close off from the rest of the house during summer to not heat up the rest of the house. Another big advantage would be keeping the rest of the house from smelling as certain foods when being cooked do not give off the best odors. This house in particular though I really like how they have it open to a courtyard, I would typically design this to have a view.

As indian for me it's a great ground floor plan with only 5% currection. Long stairs room for Temple, kitchen room convert to living area and get-together and frant small room for ground level open kitchen with open Courtyard.

Man am i having fun in your comment section Firstly i hope you see the ballet dancers in the section. Second that random stairs i think is to access the roof Thirdly and this seems to be a theme with the last video i posted but you asked about what are they going to do with the space and that you would get bored in 10 minutes, and I feel that sometimes that is the point with great architecture. The world is super fast and we have to live according to schedules so sometimes creating spaces for just being still is important in architecture. The tree and the bench were the old spaces in the parks we used to spend time with our parents, now it is the TV room. So i think this goes to that kind of sensibility about trying to reaffirm the better older tendencies and not those of the modern era and then you complained about the walkway in the front squeezing the building, to be thats more akin to older buildings where you have a large driveway, with foundation establishing the location before you get to the house. In this case that is more likely for hiding the tree so you have a slow reveal of the space to follow, one of those paths of discovery that people see the first time they visit you
