@@CatManChrisPoole aw why couldn't you keep this little guy? Just the 1 😜 Thats what I said 3 cats ago 😂 I fostered them through cats protection, the first one was very scared and couldn't cope around othed people, but eventually she came out of her shell and is so lovable now, I just couldn't let her go in the end 😄 i knew how terrified she'd be going somewhere else with people she didnt know. Then we got 3 kittens to foster, 1 already had a home waiting to go to, me and my son completely fell in love with them, it was so hard saying bye to one of them so we ended up adopted the last 2. They are our life, they brighten up our house with their individual personalities. My son adores them. One of the kittens is super clumsy, a total dork 😂 and the other is super affectionate, constantly looking for cuddles. @cagrant44725 жыл бұрын
@@dewantoroo Yes, I can see they're of an age to be weaned; but that's not all kittens need their mothers for. They need to learn to hunt, stalk and kill prey. I'm sorry if that disturbs you, but that is the very nature of all felines: they are "hard-wired " that way, such that cats who find themselves homeless can, unlike dogs, can survive on their own quite adequately. They need to learn the importance of properly disposing bodily waste, because they are both predator and prey (I've had to teach orphan kittens how to use a litter-box). Life runs smoother, in many ways, for cats that start out with good mamas and are permitted to remain with her long enough to learn to cat properly!

Whats the matter with you ppl? He just "snatched" these kittens from their mom who will come back later and then wont be able to find her kittens. Whats the matter with all of you saying hurray to that? If anyone wants to save kittens they must be 100 % sure the mum is gone forever. Was this the case here?
@mac__attack86095 жыл бұрын
@@fylgia8567 let's use our heads a little. Chris is a huge cat advocate for fostering and TNR, don't think he didn't try to find mom and/or dad to get them TNR'd. Chris is smarter than that. The kittens he got that day are obviously not old enough to adopt for another few weeks, but they will completely thrive with their foster parent those last few weeks before adoption. So yes, hooray for Chris picking them up. They will be vaccinated, spay/neuter, and cared for the rest of their lives.
@fylgia85675 жыл бұрын
Great then that you are there and can share your intelligence . If he tried to find the cat mom it was not presented in the video. But surveil the kittens in order to look for the cat mom is something that needs to be done without interruption for like 48 hours or similar. Let me doubt that that was done now or in any of the other videos I have seen. I have reacted to this issue before in Chris videos but did not write anything then. But to snatch kittens without being SURE that the cat mom is dead/gone is something that must stop! I dont doubt his intentions but to take kids away is deeply traumatic for a cat mom. It would be great with video surveillance for at least 48 hours before any (!) kittens are being brought away!
@fylgia85675 жыл бұрын
I just need to tell: I got upset when I saw this video , partly because I had reacted to this issue before both in Chris videos and in other videos made by ppl who help cats. I know that Chris has done an immense (!) work to help/save cats and that he is an animal friend of course. He has done a huge job, everyone knows that. But I think this issue is pretty serious - actually the most serious matter that exists: To animals rip kids from their mothers. We have no right to do so. That causes the mothers a great deal of pain and must stop. That is why I reacted. At last.
@debbiethemadbee5 жыл бұрын
fylgia I’m sure he knows what he’s doing. He’s been doing it for a long time and it is likely that he had kept an eye out for the mother. A lot of times feral mother cats are captured because they will need spaying. Also cats are not like humans. Once the kittens are a certain age they won’t necessarily miss them. Some mothers even reject their kittens once they are weaned. If they do miss the kittens, it won’t be for long. They will think something has happened and soon carry on. Plus there’s always a chance that they’ll be picked up by animal control and maybe euthanised. Or something bad might happen to them.

I'm on vacation in Turkey right now and or breaks my heart how many kittens and dogs live on the street here. We spotted like 20 kittens just in our hotel area and a lot of cute dogs too. Luckily I also see a lot of street workers, feeding the animals, providing water and food stations and even checking on their health

God bless you Chris, once again you go above and Beyond. I just lost my female rescue a couple of weeks ago, it's been a difficult time, and that little gray one that you were talking about keeping, really captured my heart. Even though I'm in Oregon, if he is still available, I would like to know about it. Thank you again, for all of the wonderful things you do, the amazing videos you make, and for your love of these beautiful creatures. It might not hurt to go back and check the area where you found these, in case there are any other stragglers. Just a thought. Blessings to you and yours, and all the kitties, always. Bryce.
