KLR is a fantastic do it all bike, if the rider knows what to expect. Hammer reliable, and ready to go anywhere.

They really are fun machines Rob!! I think a KLR could be a perfect only bike, if you wanted to commute, do long distance, and off road!

I test rode a RE Himalayan today, the new 450cc version. It was a very nice bike, with a smooth and surprisingly energetic engine. It was really quite quick in 1-5 gear, easily besting my 2023 KLR650s. The true difference would be felt when I finally got back on my KLR to leave. I was wondering if I would possibly be buying a new motorcycle soon. Not even close. The KLR has so much more torque just of idle, where the Himalayan needs to be slightly nursed from a standstill. The KLR felt very grunty, yes it is tractor like but it just felt stronger. The suspension on the KLR is to me much more comfortable and absorbent too. I realized I made the right choice last year by buying the Kawasaki, it’s not going anywhere. But the Royal Enfield wouldn’t be a bad choice, it is a fantastic moto.

I would love to get a test ride on a Royal Enfield as well, I actually haven't had the chance to yet. Some of their machines have an awesome classic vibe to them! The KLR is such a tried and true platform though, it's hard to go wrong, I think.

I have a red 2024 KLR 650s. Short legs long torso lol. I’m loving this bike. My son is new to riding. He never been on a bike other than the crap bikes at the Safe Ride. I have all the tusk accessories. They fit perfectly

Awesome! Glad you are enjoying the KLR :). I think the KLR can make a great first bike. It's a little on the heavy side, but the power and the way it delivers it in a smooth way is excellent!

9:58 why check engine lite goes on and off?
@PastorMattMoto4 күн бұрын
Thanks for checking out the video! All the new Kawasaki bikes have the check engine light on until the first buyer purchases the bike and the dealer does the final setup for them. So that's why you'll see that light on, with all of my test ride videos on the channel :)

The Yoshi is obnoxiuosly loud. I wouldn't want to ride behind one.

I agree it's a bit louder than I would like, I had a Yoshimura on an S1000R as well, it was too much for my taste :p
