100% agree! Even though phil x isn't singing vocals on this song, it's rare to find someone who has the guitar chops phil does to go along with a great voice for rock! Rik Emmitt from triumph still takes tops for me though!

@@jasonwhite3910 Who doesn't love Rik Emmitt Triumph was my first concert ever. And it was at Ontario Place back in 1978 . I was 13 and it was a Blast $2.50 to get in to Ontario Place They were promoting Rock & Roll Machine Album. They put on such a great show I was a Triumph fan from that day forward. And after Rick Emmett did the Solo for Rock And Roll Machine. I was Stund that this guy could play so well. After they Did."Party 24 Hours A Day" They almost blew the roof off of the Ontario Place. After that I was their No1 Fan. I believe Randy followed Rik if you know what I mean.

Is this person just making a fake account just to criticize people and nobody would know who that person really is, who are you that we should listen to someone who doesn't even put any info on what you have done that could ever top Phill X and the Boys?

This song never gets old. It is my one of my top-10 of all time. I know it's a bit obscure to be a top-10 but it is there for good reason. Hooks galore, it rocks, its punk, its pop, and it never gets old. When you have a song that checks all of those boxes it goes into the top -10 of all time.

The solo was close enough for Rock & Roll. The original solo by Berton Averre is IMO one of the greatest power pop/rock solos ever. It is long but never gets boring. By the mid 80s, people had become obsessed with shred solos but for my money, this one is easily as good as any of those, and more tasteful than most.

Come on man not all 80's shred solos are soul-less shred. Guitar solos on power ballads from 80's glam bands were awesome, guys like Reb Beach, Vito Bratta, Andy Timmons, Dan Huff, etc. They are some of the finest shredders from the 80's and at some point they made pop rock an radio friendly ballads with beautiful soulful guitar solos. All 80's shred guitarist including pop/rockers are have done beautiful solos if you know where to find them, just listen AOR melodic bands and you'll have a flashback of memories.
