This song never gets old. It is my one of my top-10 of all time. I know it's a bit obscure to be a top-10 but it is there for good reason. Hooks galore, it rocks, its punk, its pop, and it never gets old. When you have a song that checks all of those boxes it goes into the top -10 of all time.

The solo was close enough for Rock & Roll. The original solo by Berton Averre is IMO one of the greatest power pop/rock solos ever. It is long but never gets boring. Come on man not all 80's shred solos are soul-less shred. Guitar solos on power ballads from 80's glam bands were awesome, guys like Reb Beach, Vito Bratta, Andy Timmons, Dan Huff, etc. They are some of the finest shredders from the 80's and at some point they made pop rock an radio friendly ballads with beautiful soulful guitar solos. All 80's shred guitarist including pop/rockers are have done beautiful solos if you know where to find them, just listen AOR melodic bands and you'll have a flashback of memories.

I always like the Knack's version of this, but this one is punchier, more rocky and has even more energy, whilst remaining loyal to the original, great song!

Heard the knacks version when I was 10 yrs old in 1980, this versions better I reckon. Definitely more punchier.

Not only is it the best cover , it’s the best version . Better than THE KNACK . What a great Pop song . Great riff , excellent hook . Amazing solo . As far as hot 100 material , this song is perfect . Love it .

Boyz, that was a pretty good damn cover. You kept it real enough, added some nice changes, made it yours and it all came out respectfull of The Knack and yours too. Very good. thanks. I'm saving that on my fav list right in there with Doug Fieger and The Knack.

Berton Averre laid down one hell of a guitar solo on the original track. Phil did a fabulous homage in his version. Original drummer Bruce Gary would approve of this version as well.
