The Knicks will have to get 2 or 3 absolute top tier free agents to be competitive in the East next year. I’m pretty sure they have just a bad move. They have nothing to trade for AD anymore so take that option away right now. They have to bank on Kyrie first coming to New York instead of either just staying in Boston or going somewhere else, and then getting another superstar like Kawhi or KD. Kawhi seems to like Toronto a lot and they’re real contenders to make the finals already, and you’d have to ask, would KD really want to go to a franchise with a history of losing as long as New York? I can’t see the future of course but I honestly think that this move will set New York’s rebuild process back 5-10 years depending on how their drafting goes. It’s hilarious that we keep saying about NY being the Mecca when it hasn’t been that way in a LONNGGGG TIME! It seems every year we have these convos about the Knicks will get *insert star* only to watch them blow that money on horrible contracts. They traded away a legit star in KP in hopes that KD leaves a dynasty and Kyrie leaves Boston who’s ALREADY on a faster track to a championship the Knicks are. We are literallly saying that superstars are gonna leave winning situations to play on a dysfunctional long time losing franchise because it’s in NY and..... that’s it?? Come on!😂

If the Celtics do not win a championship with this core and all the talent they've gathered since the Brooklyn trade, it should go down as one of the biggest failures in the history of professional sports. They were practically gifted a dynasty through stupid decisions by the Nets and Cavaliers.
