"Shows up to a meeting discussing land distribution, doesn't even ask how much he's getting just demands more than everyone else, King tells him that this is not how it works, Ruber immediately charges across the meeting table with a club to murder a man who has a sword that makes him unbeatable." Actual Chaos Warrior energy
@josiaharaki73102 ай бұрын
It's not the sword that makes him unbeatable. That's the ironic part about the movie. Everyone obsesses over the sword, but in the original Myth, Merlin even uses this as a gotcha question for Arthur, as it is the Scabbard that makes Arthur unbeatable in combat, and it was only after the theft of the scabbard that Arthur falls. Excalibur is a great sword, and in some media, has some pretty nifty powers itself, but Avalon is basically an instant guaranteed victory for it's wielder.
@BarokaiRein2 ай бұрын
@@josiaharaki7310 And what would you call the original myth? As far as I know, there is no singular canon, and nobody is quite sure who exactly wrote the first full blown stories about King Arthur and Merlin. Geoffrey of Monmouth is the first to rename Myrddin into Merlin, and first to name Arturh as a king, but his story was more like a bullet point list of stuff than a proper story about Arthur. And at least I don't recall him calling the scabbard Avalon. There was a magic sword called Excalibur, which was basically just renamed Caladbolg, and that sword made Arthur a hero king.

I would be pissed too if they told me that the benefits are distributed equally (or according to the members needs) when certain members have contributed more than others (I don't know if that's the case either, but the guy seems to contribute a lot in a fight xd), add to that a selfish and impulsive attitude and you get a rebellion, next time give him his damn lands.

Together we stand, now and forever; in truth, divided we fall, Hand in hand, brother to brother(sister) In the coming days, there will still be division; because of how the virtues here, are not accepted by many; But anyone who carries them, carries the freedom found in this song. Don’t protest, don’t fight, with word or action; endure the rough storms, and the cold winter-with compassion and mercy; for both friend and foe; both near and far. And you will find what you need, now and forever, and you will be alright Let this be your prayer Psalm 23 Psalm 3 Psalm 8 Psalm 18 Psalm 22 Psalm 90 Psalm 142 Malachi 3 Genesis 4:13 Isaiah 6:1-6 Daniel 9 1 Samuel 8:1-6 Exodus 3:11 1 Kings 19:1-14 Psalm 121:1 The way, the truth and the light- The bread of life, The home of love, The joy of a child, The language of the eternal nation, The written words, which shall not pass away The building blocks which one may use to unlock the doors, where anything is possible The blood of the lamb Freedom The missing piece to make one whole John 1:1-5 Genesis 1-3 Genesis 9:8-16 Exodus20:1-17 Matthew 1 Matthew 4 Matthew 5-7 Matthew 9:10-17 Mark12:41-44 Luke 7:40-50 Matthew 13 Matthew 19 Matthew 22:23-46 Matthew 23-25 Matthew 28:16-20 Luke 10:17-42 Luke 23:6-12 John 7:53-8:11 John 8:48-59 John 13-17 John 3 Revelations 11 Revelations 16 Don’t let the apathy of the world cause you to loose hope. This is the spirit of the frog: where no moment of darkness is worth being thirsty for the love of light, and when no moment of light is worth letting go of the darkness one loves to hold onto. But the spirit of the son of man’s words, will heal anyone who is willing to accept them. Then you are ready, to turn the page; onward to the last chapter. Toward a beginning without end. Revelations 22

Getting more land does not equal you will be the greatest. It's what you do with it. He could have made a wealth and power in his own land that rivaled Arthur's. But no, he didn't think it through.

Simultaneously being the only one who jumped up with a shield and still getting pummeled in the jaw with a mace....you know what you can have his lands as well as what you're owed.

I like how they just let the little girl walk right up to her daddy’s corpse without even a word of warning or nothing. I’m sure that won’t traumatize her for life or anything.

I vaguely have memories of this film. I definitely watched it but not nearly as much as the Land Before Time as a kid

For those who don't know Latin: Ruber's (this villain's) name means "red" (it's the same root of "ruby").
