I’m smitten with everything you do, Gary.. and the idea of hanging out surrounded with yarn, wips, so many gorg colours, and knitting 24/7.. definitely my ideal. Love. ❤️.. oh, and “cheeky lil’ knit”.. so precious..

Thanks for sharing your story. Your drawings and patterns are beautiful. On the part of the video when you were showing how you trap the stitch. It was hard to see because the yarn was dark, and there wasn't a lot of light on that area. Can you do another take with lighter yarn and better lighting. If you have done so already can you direct me to that video. Thank you😊

Hi from St.Ives! I can't remember when I didn't knit and like you have a stash of wool that I won't use in my lifetime . Luckily I have Daughters and Granddaughters to leave it to . I used to knit picture jumpers in the 80's and 90's on a computerized knitting machine. I drew the designs on a mylar sheet but was limited to 60 St's wide unless it was a repeating pattern . I love the tip for floats and enjoyed your first video.

Oh my goodness! That is the most brilliant and informative descriptive of how to carry floats! I was taught at a very early age to knit from my Grandmother (French Canadian) and self-taught thereafter! I am not an artist but have charted my own designs using graph paper (southwest petroglyphs, I live in AZ) and the floats have always been a challenge! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I so appreciate men who knit; thank you for being an exemplary example! And thank you Knitting Widow!!! ;-). Absolutely worth a Subscription to your channel! And I've been to your lovely Cornwall and St. Michael's Mount. Travelled 1,000 miles of the Michael and Mary Ley Lines and met Hamish Miller, world renowned dowser, blacksmith and philosopher! One of the most brilliant souls I will ever meet on this Planet! And his beautiful wife made the most delicious blueberry scones for us, with clotted cream! Congratulations on your Channel! Hi Gary Ray Smith, regards from Santiago Chile. I just met you in youtube and I am enchanted with your knitting and your handling of colors. Finally men are showing their skills that until recently were exclusively attributed to women. When my dentist went through a depression period due to the separation and divorce from his wife, I offered him to teach him to knit because it is such great mental health keeper without psychiatric care and without pills...and he loughed and loughed...and I thought "what an ignorant and he does not know what he is missing and enjoying"

Hello from Canada! I just discovered your videos after I tried to do a hat with some color changes. I did a great job on the front of the work, but the back had too many loose threads so I pulled it all out and I am going to start again. I love your work and thankyou so much for the great videos.

Don't have insta', just discovered you, and yeah great, you speak clearly for me as French, and that way to carry floats is so nice, I 'm just doing colorwork, and immediatly tried. I knit the same way as you and then place the following yarn on left index finger and place it with neddle between, so quick and efficient. Thanks, will try to find your etsy shop. Wish you the best, (do you really knit everywhere?) Laurence

that your designs and skill are amazing goes without saying but i said it anyway - now for the floats - i never do colorwork because i HATE floats on the back side - what you show us is genius - you have opened up the world of 2 - or even more - color knitting to me - i am forever grateful to you - thank you so much i am very annoyed that i can give you only one thumb up ;~D
