I'm kind of mad I bought into this not knowing that the solder pcb didn't support the slider and knob modules, at this point I kind of just want to sell it just so I can buy an extra with the slider and module

I wanted to order this so bad earlier this year but didn't. One of my son's friends got the Valhalla Ultra so I'm going to help him build it soon. Can't wait to check it out personally. Great review, the slider information should definitely help me with the build!

Definitely a pretty board, but man is the building experience kinda wack. I had to get a new pcb bc my ribbon cable connector just broke lol. I used baby kangaroos for my final build (after trying a few different switches and plates), but I personally think the board def needs at minimum case foam bc it’s pretty thin sounding.

How did yours break? It’s magnetic so I’m curious how it broke at the connector. The cable seems to be the only thing at risk from my build. Yeah case foam would bring it up. The spacebar isn’t strong enough without some extra support

@@AndyVNguyen The latch broke the first time I closed it on the ribbon cable. So the ribbon cable wasn’t able to make contact with the pcb. The magnetic part was fine it was just the actual pcb portion that took a crap.

I’ve notice that you change some of the key caps, such as the Fn key aside the right shift key. Does it actually work as Fn key? Or is it just a swap of key cap? If it works, could you show how it works? I’ll be super appreciate!

I adore this board, was a must cop for me since my daughter is named Freya, I just wish it had a cherry lip and a little lower of a front height

wheww, not a cheap board, but I do welcome more unique designs in the hobby. HMX Machiattos are great, wish they were truly 4mm travel (as originally advertised), but they do sound great in a lot of boards.

The special version of the board looks stunning... the nordic runes , the valkyrie--esque backweight, sooooooo slick. However those extra things on both sides of the board is horrible... the slider looks so out of place like you are about to DJ and that led knob is like a google nest. PLEASE DO NOT GOOGLE NEST THE KEYBOARD

I thought the Freya was super cool when I saw it in GB, but honestly, after 3 Wuque/Meletrix boards... I'll never buy another one of their products. Crap QC, mediocre/poor engineering/manufacturing, TERRIBLE customer service.
