i have mine built with mx blacks + cf half-plate and it slaps, especially the spacebar. the single flex cut across the alpha row is matched on both the pcb and plate, resulting in a good typing feel without sacrificing sound; if anything, probably less vibrations from top mount. got mine for less than $300 USD aftermarket

Andy, maybe u should wait for krush65. It has o-ring/ top mount option and it has a heavy copper weight at the back to make it not sound hollow.

to me, lately anyway, "endgame" is basically another word for "different than the rest". Like you said the market (65% especially) has been flooded with boards the often don't offer much different than their competitors. When something even a little more unique comes along, that also has a really nice sound and feel, THAT's where it's at. Speaking of unique, I just picked up an Aeroboard70 myself. Also didn't really get much hype from content creators. I absolutely love the cyberpunk-ish vibes and so far I really enjoy the sound and feel (only tried one type of build out of a lot of different types available). The macro column on the left is so nice for certain apps/games too!!!

A local designer of ours is designing the Khora. It’s a Top mount 8pt top mount 65. I personally have never had a top mount 65 which is why I’m going in on it. Super excited to get in on the GB because the colorway is gonna be hot AF too.

My fav board I own is my maker velvet, with mx black on plateless, a tecsee bocchi as the spacebar and gmk botanical in top mount. Super flexy and bouncy for top mount and with the bocchi for the spacebar it sounds amazing. Deep and nice. None of that foamy "thock" nonsense

The true king is the merisi sessantacinque. Luckily merisi is dropping another 65 with the same plate and mounting style, the 500C. I just wish his boards weren’t so… ugly…

I just got a Pavlov 65 from KBDfans and tried al kinds of switches. It has 3 plates. FR4, PC and Alu. Foams, no foams. Top mount or tadpole mount.. It always sounds deep. Not really my sound profile. Tested Novelkeys x Kaihl Creams, HMX Macchiatos, Akko Cream Blue V3's.. Give that board a try. You'll love it. You'll love FR4 with case and platefoam with the Tadpole mount if you like some flex.

unfortunately most of the hobby is based around small runs because they're not run by full fledged businesses that can handle in stocking things all year round. the typ65+ isn't too hard to find secondhand, and they're running a new version soon if you are interested.

@@AndyVNguyen very sorry to hear this. I also had a sleep disorder since around 2009. It would take me 3-5 hours to fall asleep. Then I would wake up every 20-60min… there wasn’t hardly a single day I woke up feeling well rested and recharged. Last year, we (doctors and me) finally figured out that it was a combination of things that helped me treat the issue. Changing my diet, getting off of my phone/tv/computer an hour before bed, and taking a small anxiety prescription & 1/4 of a Xanax with every meal. After about 3 months, my life changed. It takes me 5-30min to fall asleep and I don’t wake up once during the night now! Hope you can do more troubleshooting and testing with doctors to quickly help solve your sleeping disorder! ✨🙏🏼✨

that's just how the hobby is. you can buy this secondhand but it's not straightforward like other hobbies. it's mostly on the secondhand market.

I just started getting into it and everytime I find a nice board it’s sold out or the group buy for it was years ago. I’m just trying to get one before I start college. I want a unique looking one so I don’t have the urge for a new one lol. My keychron served its purpose for the last 3 years.

For the most part that isn't happening anymore. Now you won't always be able to buy something instantly, but showing up the day or even sometimes the week it's available you can get great sounding budget keyboards. And like in this video, if it's an older keyboard that doesn't have as much hype.. people are forced to sell it under what they paid. Most things cost less than new costs.
