What I seem to understand is that the Self, the Atman/Brahman, the eternal witness, or rather the undifferentiated consciousness, is beyond space and time because everything is happening in undifferentiated(witness) consciousness. How would this metaphysical non-self of one higher consciousness be judged for our conduct in our lifetime and how does teachings of morality and ethics fit into the scheme of things? How does the universal laws of cause and effect and compensation apply to our true form accordingly to to 5 sheaths Will there be judgement for physical emotional relational and spiritual crimes? May I suggest that after we peel the 5 layers of the onion, there's actually a broken soul inside each one of us.. what is said centauries before is proven now by Nobel prize in Physics 2022. Indian vedic (vedant darshan written by our sages is proven at last and accepted by western world who relies only on material world), I have to disagree with Theoretical physicists. First, the Vedas affirm that, at our core, we are unbounded awareness, devoid of the limitations of Memories and Avidya. Second, it's because we've lost touch with our True Nature, which is SAT-CHIT-ANANDA (where SAT denotes existence, CHIT denotes awareness, and ANANDA denotes BLISS). To put it another way, we are all beings of Pure Immortal Awareness, and our only property is happiness. Thirdly, that's the big one that everyone wants answered; it's what spirituality is all about.

For me the knower is inaccesible through any intellectual process. At the same time I cannot deny that the intellect has an influence in preparing the event of awakening. If you have an epiphany, you experience the knower, that in my particular case i call Mu (nothing), but it is a nothingness that is very much alive. Words will never suffice to describe it, the only possible way to access this entity, is through the direct experience called in Buddhism satori (awakening), and kensho (which means seeing your own nature). When the emperor of China demanded who are you? Bodhidarma responded, I don't have the slightest idea sir.

This intellectual process occurs for me because of this Knower, .but it is just a limited manifestation of knower. Intellect is born from the Knower or Awareness.. but it's important to keep in mind that the opposite is not true: without the intellect, you can still exist. This is sometimes referred to as a "samadhi" state, but it's distinct from deep sleep state. It is different from deep sleep as your awareness remains active in samadhi state without any context....This state is known as Turiya State (An active Knower or Awareness without any Intellect or buddhi)
