I absolutely Loved this video! I think this is going to be very helpful to a lot of koi keepers going forward. I myself am currently going thru a bacterial issue in my pond. I’ve lost about 25 koi over the last 3-4 months. I follow both of your guests channels too and seen them gutted over their losses. Im in the US. I finally had a fish vet over to my pond last month and I’m now getting on top of this bacterial issue via antibiotic injections. I seriously considered just giving up completely and shutting down my brand new 2600 gallon sleeper pond and euthanizing all my koi. The stress and heartbreak was just getting to be way more than I could take. But Im sticking to it because this is my dream pond and I love my koi. Please keep these discussions coming. There’s always something to be learned. Thank you Joe

Susan, thanks for your message. stick with it, Dave and Si are both examples of people who have been able to bounce back from bacterial issues and have a great time in the hobby. Well done for sticking with it.

Congratulations Boys Amazing Video - love the banter - Just in the process of building a 30,000 litre pond on a wing and a prayer and you guys have highlighted every emotion I have gone through as a hobbyist - '' We don't keep koi we keep water'' is my mantra - Im so glad I caught you guys from week 1 ..... feel free to reach out if you want someone on who has jumped in feet first into the hobby since covid ( I'm on pond version 3) - with little or no experience but willing to give it a go and listen to some sound advice.
