The Kral Empire X - More range tests after problem solving

In this video I re-test the Kral Empire X after finding out that the pellet probe had been miss aligning pellets during the loading process and causing them to tumble and hit the internals of the shroud. The bolt probe was bent, but after doing a Mk1 eyeball fix, I decided to see if the issue was solved. This could mean purchasing a new pellet probe if accuracy doesn't improve. I tested 8 different pellets through the barrel. Initially the barrel was laser accurate, so pellet probe and the aftermarket magazines were causing the issues.

Nice going again Mark, glad to see everything is getting there on the Empire, seems like most of the H&N's are going pretty well, I have switched to them recently in the Wolverine R, Kozak & S400 and getting spectacular results especially in S400 with the Baracuda FT/Lights (3 x Max 250's on the trot!!!) The Kral rifles certainly seem to have improved massively in the last few years Take Care Kev

Yes, I like the H&N. Some do really well, where others not so much. JSBs tend to do well in most rifles, but because the manufacturing mix means a softer lead than H&N, they are easily damaged. Some magazines create problems for the softer pellets, so single shot feeding them can show which are affected by the magazines or not. The biggest problem for everyone at the moment is the price of lead pellets, but if we go all none lead then the price will double what we have now. Not good not matter how you look at it. Tuning means lots of pellets, so it is quite expensive until you get it right.

I was the same once. The hardest part is knowing where the anti tamper is, then removing it. The best tool for the job is an opposite way drill bit and extractor set. Most of the time, once you start to drill in the opposite direction the snap off screws just unscrew and you don't even need the extractors. After that you need to take lots of photos, or video of how you took it apart, so that you can put it back together again. There are lots of KZbinrs that can help, by watching how they do it. With regulators, Robert Lane has lots of instructions and even videos of how to fit his regulators. I've done seven or more different rifles now over the years. All it takes is the confidence to do it once, and as long as you take it easy it can be very rewarding. The most important thing is to have a chronograph before you start. Never thought id see the day that a Kaiser grouped well , all be it 25yrds , bought a tin of H&N hunters way back , still have them , granted ive not tried them in ALL my .177's , but the ones I have , well , pretty poor , that's why I've still got 3/4 of a tin left .. the Kral though seems too luv em .. terminators are pretty good in most though .. on most , ... all in all .. its the hunters and that shone the most .. id say that was incredible ..

Yes, like they say, all barrels are different. Unless you try, you never know. As it shot so well at the start, its a matter of sorting out the issues, but regulating can change pellet choice, so what worked at the start, may be totally different now.

Nice shooting Mark, good to see the Krall is getting there 👍I've never tried the Hunters before, done very well with the Terminators, however I will try the Hunters in my BSA R10. Sadly I've given up on the Ixia, it went back with safety catch issues and not holding air, when it came back 'fixed' it lasted 2 days before the seals went again 🤬 so I returned it and put another £600 to it for a FX Maverick new off the shelf..... got it home zeroed it at 25yds.... it felt a bit underpowered so I chronographed it.... 7.8 go lbs at power setting 7 and 9.8 ft lbs at power setting 1..... 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 not at all happy. It's going back and my gun shop has ordered another one for me..... watch this space. Oh and my old BSA Super 10 at 25 years old plods on a bit underpowered but it's pellet on pellet with the Baracuda Greens 🙄 thanks for the video Mark always enjoy.😎👍

Sorry to hear about your issues with the Reximex. Quite a few have had problems with the Ixia. Not sure if its Range Right who re tune them for the British Market, or whether they just import them as they are from Turkey. It looks a great rifle, and I think one of the problems, like FX and Daystate is that most of their rifles are designed for FAC market, such as the US. Once they start to de tune them, and block off different things with anti tamper, it creates a whole new set of problems, and the end user is never very happy about it. In the past I got so fed up with rifles with problems I decided to sort the problems out myself and ended up with a rifle better than it was as standard. It does piss you off when you pay a lot of money out and get problems. I know how you feel. I hope your FX gets sorted soon. Best wishes. Mark Holding.

@@airgunsniper-elite7385 Yeah the Ixia is a nice looking rifle, I was really happy when I first had it power was as advertised 11.3 although on a really hot day got close to 12lb legal limit. The safety was so simple I couldn't see why it had jammed in the off position, still at least I could still use it till I was able to take it back to the gun shop. Magazines were a very tight fit so I used the single shot tray. I do like the new camo versions of the gun, very smart. To be fair after it had gone back I saw no difference in the tightness of the magazine's in fact I am not 100% sure the gun returned was the same gun 🙄 ah well just hope the new fx Maverick that's been ordered sorts the issue. It's simple really all I want is a gun that's giving 11.5 ft lb (depending on pellet) at max power and around 9ftlb at lowest power. Is that too much to ask ? I will get the shop to chronograph the gun before I take it this time. 😎👍

Excellent video and excellent shooting mark sham the prob was bent on the gun makes you think should you get a Karl
@airgunsniper-elite7385
@airgunsniper-elite7385 Жыл бұрын
The reason it bent was because a screw came loose and fell out of the linkage. The extra leverage damaged the probe as it went forward at an angle. I had, had the linkage apart some days before and didn't realise that it had come out. I would have used some locktite if I had known. To be fare the Empire X is quite well made, and the barrel accuracy is really good if you go back to the first video.

How did the probe get bent or was it supplied like that? If it was surely that should be replaced under warranty?

A screw fell out of the linkage and caused it to bend as it went forward. Because of the linkage it created enough leverage to damage the probe.

@@airgunsniper-elite7385 that was in the earlier vid when you were having trouble loading? Still warranty imo cos screw should have been locktighted or something
