Very nice! I have the ruby red version, can't beat the price! I have to say though it's a shame to get rid of the series/parallel switching. It sounds great in parallel and really makes a huge difference in versatility.

40 Grit…great stuff as always…just wondering, I’m doing a frenchie build…what neck p/u do you have in yours??…theres only a million to choose from and I’m not sure what to use…I have a tone zone in the bridge…thanks my man👍

Congrats!! All the Charvel Demartini have the RTM (rattus tonus maximus) Warren signature pickup. It is an alnico 2 pickup and slightly hotter than the JB. JB is an alnico 5.

Yes it does. I changed this one to a plastic strat one…. like old school.

@@40gritguitars Thank you for your reply. It seems to come off easily at first but then it stops. Just use a little force after that? Im trying not to damage it. Thank you for your help. I have the same guitar. Trying to build an OU812 tribute.

@@40gritguitars Would you be able to make a video demonstrating on that guitar or one like it? Showing how it slides up easily at first then stops. Then just a little force?
@40gritguitarsАй бұрын
I could! If there is no set screw then they just pull off. Sometimes they are on there pretty good.

I noticed that you didn't replace the block with a brass one. Is the one that came with it good enough. Many replace it. I put a 32 brass block on my Jackson js32 dinky.

Good eye! Not my guitar, he did not request the upgrade. I usually replace them but I’m sure they are fine with what they have. Thanks for watching!

Hi very nice Video,i have some old Kramers some of them are Basswood or Alder.I never understood why they use Maple for the Body on Barettas.Had one and the sound was so thin and too much treble .So i will stay away from maple bodys.But its a really nice guitar and the yellow looks super cool.
@40gritguitars4 ай бұрын
I agree. You have to find a pickup that works well with the maple. Your Kramers are alder or poplar.
@MrStarlight19804 ай бұрын
@@40gritguitars yes the claim they never used basswood.But i have an old Vanguard V....i had this guitar at a luthier for a refret,he said to me ,he is 100% sure that is basswood.so i dont care because it sounds really good.

8 gauge string, tuned to e-flat. That'll be pretty loose. I've tried 9's in E-flat and even that feels really loose.

Blocking the bridge on this type of guitars is something I could never understand..
@40gritguitars3 ай бұрын
Floating does add character to a one trick pony. I prefer blocked for reliability at gigs and stability for the dtuna. Thanks for your comment!
@AyBi_Studio3 ай бұрын
@40gritguitars You can use a Tremolo no which provides an option for block and floating bridge. I used them for years and they do an amazing job and I also use them for drop d. D tuna is nice but very limiting and sometime required routing. Great video anyway.
