In this video I covered my round two game from Lichtenrader Herbst 2019. I had the white pieces and faced a 200 elo higher rated opponent in the Kramnik Sicilian.

Round 2 was my first game with white. I switched to d4 about a month ago. Still haven’t played any games in it, but I have definitely decided that it suits my style better. I am not good at tactics, so positional, slower games will be easier for me to play.
Even so, against this opponent, who is a very talented and very strong 17 year old player, I have decided to stick to my usual e4. I did that because he plays the e6 Sicilian, which gave me the chance to do really specific preparation. I prepared the Kramnik Sicilian. A slightly uncommon way for white to play against the Franco Sicilian, but good nevertheless.
I played well, got a good, winning position. I was a clear pawn up and should have been able to convert. We played a very instructive 4 vs 3 rook endgame. He played better and drew. Capablanca was right.
