Runaway is definitely my type. It really shows artistic side of mino as a producer and musician and rapper . This is such a beautiful song and the MV is visually very pleasing . You should check out MINO's Take Album too. All the songs are just amazing !!!!

I feel like YG is finally letting go of this mysterious look for their artists and giving their artists take some lead. This album, mv, and song had so much of Minos input it’s so great to see his artistry and uniqueness really shown through his music. Both fiance and this are so experimental in a good way, but I really love this a lot more because it sounds so good and also the mv is, as you said, a visual film. The instrumentals and his voice paired with the visuals of the mv combines so well. If you’re a fan of this song, you should check out the rest of the songs in the album! 💙

Thank you for this! also, WINNER's leader Seungyoon had a cameo in this video :) I actually cannot pick a favorite of the TAKE album so it's safe to say I love this more than his previous album. What makes this more precious is how MINO shared to fans the creative process through VLIVE / how he created the songs so we actually got to listen to it raw and firsthand. I'd recommend listening to the whole album especially WA

this mv is obviously visually pleasing, but sonically it is so satisfying,not only his raps but the instrumentals as well, it is such a well produced song, personally Mino does not need comparison of wether he is better than his contemporary 3rd gen rappers, he` is a league of his own, he stands out.... and pd said it right- it is not one of those commercial songs, its an art-unique and deeply thought through... to the entire team remotely connected to this mv- respect!!!!!

I like both album, both shows how capable is mino in creating masterpiece and be acknowledge as artist artist. Fiance and run away both did a digging in-depth of the concept, fiance with the trot, word play, and symbolism are chefs kiss, the same as thru runaway(well i should examine first the lyrics cause i am not a korean and the wordplay is hard for me to notice) but the symbolism is there and it carry thru-out the song consistently, plus the ending of both songs so yeah

Im a fan of Mino and the fact that he's hands on with all his creative endeavors but we also should give credit to Team SL8 production for directing the MV. You're spot on with the primary color Yellow and Teal, both colors often appears in Mino's self-portrait paintings, meanwhile the album TAKE has orange-red color theme. I love how abstract the music video is, and everyone who watches it has their own interpretation of it, and Mino intended that with Run away MV.

I was a pretty good fan of Fiancé but when I listen the first time to Run Away I was like “damn that’s what we call ART” like Fiancé don’t even approach to that. Visually, musically it’s sooo overwhelming. all the emotions that Mino wanted us to feel were transmitted to us and that’s beautiful cuz just a very few can fully transmit everything.

This is a masterpiece and I was expecting you to love it. The mv and the song show Mino's artistic and original personality and talent. I recommend you listen to the whole album TAKE i think you would enjoy it because it follows the same line of emotional and experimental non mainstream music. thank you PD, mino isn’t only a kpop rapper. he came from underground rapper in korea, won 2nd place in SMTM4, lyricist genius (you may want to check on of his song w/ HAHA for infinity challenge about korean history, his wordplays in that song were soooo astonishing), he’s an artist, a painter and his works are now displayed in SAATTCHI in London as S.K. representation. only by His name, a lot of people know, spells as ART. I really hoped you would talk about my favorite part and you did which is the part where Mino begs 재발 (jaebol). It's filled with so much emotion that it's slurred, then his chorus hits you again where he's begging and yells out. It's just perfect and filled with so much that I can't even describe it. #MINO conceptualised and was really hands on in the production of #TAKE and #RUNAWAY music video. He’s so grateful that the director and production team understood his concept and came up with this masterpiece. Also I just wanna share my thoughts on that scene from the beginning in the train w/ people dancing then water came in and he drowned... when the water subsided, he got up and now surrounded by sunflowers... indeed, this video is like a dream made into a short film. Very apt of how MINO described his album #TAKE, it’s like takes/scenes from a film.

I've been suscribed for a while, but this is my first time seeing one of ur videos. I LOVE the way you analyze the MV: that you mention the color palette, the cinematic style, the mix with animation, and how you see the meaning of the song reflected in the MV. I love music by itself (i was a choir girl in school and uni lol), and also enjoy analyzing content in every form of video or photography. I'm happy i found someone that do those things i love bc is difficult to find people to talk about it. Not a common hobby for sure. So, THANK YOU.
