Self producing groups always have a special place in my heart ngl ❤ I think it's because they, more than others, have a clearer understanding of the groups musical identity. Which helps, in the long run, not only because it makes them more consistent, but also more earnest in the message they deliver. Bottom line is, this song slaps, Nine.i slays, stan them for clear skin

Vahn is their main producer and Joohyoung produces a lot as well!! Joo and Vahn are the only ones credited for lyrics on both albums aside from Loner that also was written by Winnie & Jiho!! There's literally only one non member credited on all their songs and its what really drew me into them you can just tell how much passion is put into the music making

PD I have been waiting for this one lol! Vahn and Joo Hyoung have such a hand in their music and you can tell. We all need a bit more Winnie in our lives lets be honest. PD if you could interview another group I think it'd be such a time meeting them! (Although some of the members, Winnie included 😭, are not currently promoting with the group due to other schedules. Word on the street is they're going on Boys Planet).

I can't lie, I hate this fact so much. The group is already so good, why potentially ruin it by having three members leave for a survival show so soon after debut? Also, what happens if they make the final lineup? They're just going to be out of the group for 2-3 years? It just doesn't make any sense to me. I hate to say it but I really hope they don't make the final lineup because I've seen how active groups can fall apart when a member leaves for a temp. group.

NINE.i still holds the title of my favorite debut of the year and now they also hold the title of favorite comeback with Young Boy, it's such a phenomenal first comeback and I can't wait to hear and see what they'll come back with next, and even though I want more right now I don't mind waiting another half a year because I know it'll be worth it. I became obsessed with them and their music so fast, there's something so special about them that I couldn't help but fall for them, the moment I watched their debut I felt myself being tugged towards them and after listening to their album I was already falling, and falling fast. It usually takes me a couple months to fully recognize all members, mostly because outside of checking their profiles I don't try to guess names and put them to faces all the time, I let it happen naturally because that's not really my main concern, I'm here for the music first and foremost, but with them it took me like a week, and after a week or so I could already recognize all of their voices, which speaks volumes about how distinctive each of them sounds despite blending so well together. I don't know, they're a really special and powerful group in my opinion, there's an honesty and emotion behind them that is so captivating I find impossible to look away from.

Nine.i is probably my favorite group from 2022. Their style is unique and memorable. The fact that even after 1 comeback you can already recognize their songs is fascinating to me. Theres not 1 song on their 2 albums that I disliked but 3 songs on each, that I absolutely adored (Parallel Universe/Wasted Youth/Beauty Inside & Young Boy/Loner/I am. Such great songs. Usually I only really like 1 or 2 songs on Kppp albums. Their Mvs are also esthetically pleasing and the lyrics were nice too.

Got to know them because of Seowon on Boys Planet (Jiho and Winnie were there too! But i feel in love with Seowon!) and i loved the group!!! Their songs are so so good, some of the guys also produce the songs. Thats amazing! I hope they have a breakthrough after Seowon come back from Boys Planet (i do think he will rank high, but i dont think he'll debut)

Hi PD, finally, I was waiting for your reaction! And yes, they came back after that great debut and blew me away again. I probably say that their two mini albums were the soundtrack to my 2022! Even though I like many groups there was no other bg in 2022 whose songs I played that obsessivly. I also loved their YT content, they have a variety show thingy where they do challenges (from indoor surfing, climbing, aerial silks, spinning to coffee grinding...) and they are just all super cute and very entertaining. I also got obsessed with all their dance covers and other covers and medleys and watched those an unhealthly amount of times. After months of listening to them I have chosen a fav vocalist (i mean its nearly impossible they are all fantastic) so that for me is Minjun . There is just something so pure about his voice.. hard to explain. Dancing fav is also difficult cause they are all such great dancers so for sheer energy it has to Taehun, for elegance probably Seowon and for coolness its Winnie....
