Hui composed this song right after RTK... He wasn't completely satisfied, then he showed Nathan, that was mindblowed and said "This is it! Let's go with this!" Then they worked together to give this song life, while Hui also had Wooseok helping him with the lyrics :)

As a Universe , instead of Shine, to me Daisy screams Like This era. The songs sound in no way alike, but they are built on emotions, they put their hearts on this... also the choreography of Daisy screams Kino, just like Like This. Like This is such a important song to our fandom because we can see our members true emotions and so I think will be Daisy.

I would also put runaway in there as well since it followed up on Like this. This to me screams them and what they mean to me so much. I love these kinds of music so much and it is what i needed right now. Even when we have so much good music out there, this is the song that I will play non stop when i feel like I need it. I think everyone has songs that no matter how old the songs are or got, you will still remember them and listen to it. That is that kinda song to me. To me, Shine, Basquiat, and Daisy are examples of what happens when the boys don't feel pressured to release bops but instead feel free to create the sound they want to. Also, while in my opinion Shine and Basquiat represented a change in Pentagon sound, Daisy sounds more like a conversation between some previous emotional songs such as Violet, Like This... Is not revolutionary but rather an improvement that shows how much they have grown in these past years.

I agree. To me Daisy is the culmination of Pentagon's musical journey. I can hear a little bit of many older releases and newer as well. I also think this song is another bend in the road for the group. A very GOOD bend in th road. Maybe it's just me, but I get this sense of Pentagon being on the verge of becoming...a legendary group.

You know why I love that bridge SO MUCH? Because it functions as an actual BRIDGE. It's where we move from the emotion in the first part of the song over to an entirely new emotion afterward. We cross the bridge and a transformation has taken place. We were one place, now we're somewhere else. The bridge in this song is the moment of realization, of acceptance, the moment of decision. It's the moment of change. I think that's a big reason it's so so powerful. It's a true climax in the storytelling sense.

I'm not the biggest universe and I sometimes kinda forget about them, because I stan so many groups. But everytime they release a song, I am reminded of their greatness and I stream the hell outta their mv. I thought it would be different this comeback due to my bias, Jinho, serving in the military at the moment. But I was wrong. Daisy hit me right in the feels and I completely fell for the song on first listen. It might become my favorite Pentagon title track. Like This is hard to beat though. As you can see, I love bittersweet bops.

The mv makes a lot of sense to be honest. They explained it saying each member has his own color (in their scene) and when they're together (the choreo part) they're in white, just like a ray of light when you separate it, it has many colors. I love this song beyong explanation. When I first listened to it I got chills all over and after watching their first perfomance on Inkigayo I got so emotional that I even cried. I'm not an Universe, but I am a fan of them since debut. Daisy is so epic. It gave me hints of Big Bang and Block B, like Toy and Don't Leave, that unique bittersweet taste.

First time I heard Daisy (literally, just last night) and now, I can’t get over it. As what PD said, it also gives me the same vibe of One Republic 😊 and when you said that this is a Bittersweet kinda genre, iKON and Bigbang pops into my head right away. both basquiat and daisy were produced by hui, wooseok, and nathan (also worked together for dr. bebe, violet, spring snow, die for you). hui had always been wanting to work on rock genre since dr. bebe and nathan said basquiat were their trial to rock genre. by basquiat, nathan realized that he and hui are capable in making this genre works and thats why daisy is heavily influenced by rock instrumentation. nathan has been a rock fan since he is little and he said he has been wanting to mix rock and kpop together, bcs it is still kinda “rare” to mix two genres and the genre is kinda difficult to be accepted by many audiences, but daisy proves that pentagon & nathan can do it. im pinpointing nathan bcs i have been following him since long ago, and i also acknowledge pentagon members effort in making daisy too, so looking at their success with daisy, i feel really proud of them!! pls give a lot of love to daisy everyone💜💜 ps. pd has talked a lot abt the bittersweet kind of feeling in this song, and thats EXACTLY nathan said he wants to go for, a bright sounding song but have a sad, longing kind of lyrics. so yeah, you got the point pd✨

This music may be the reason behind me paying attention to Pentagon again, after edawn left (my bias) I was so sad that a couldn’t keep listening to them. But seeing this music so full of emotion and highlighting all the members (shout out to wooseok and yuto that stood out the most for me tho), I feel like I can enjoy their songs again and I’m ready to support them, the wound is healed and there’s no reason to get attached to the past. I really hope they get a win with this music, it’s reeeeally good (that guitar in the beginning is EVERYTHING to me).

I was so focused on streaming that, even if I was checking every other hour if PD has released his review, I only realized he released it when I saw his comment on the MV. I am surprised that PD talked about the song more than the production of the MV. But, I completely understand. My first listens to Daisy, I was so overwhelmed with the fact that I was witnessing a masterpiece unfolding before my ears that I didn't bother processing the music video. But, I did wish there was more discussion on the MV and the choreography because there were some key moments and symbolisms there that were just, personally for me, a stroke of creative genius. In any case, I strongly believe that Daisy is the best Pentagon track released so far. Yes, I am calling it, even better than Shine. The lyrics and the concept behind the play of words and the irony in the imagery just fully encapsulates the spectrum of feelings that come with that little emotion that we normal people (unlike Hui) just call Love and the way this song was structured in an alternative rock genre is just ground breaking for me. And the way that this doesn't get the attention that it deserves, just kills me and frustrates me so much because Pentagon deserves so much more. If there's any consolation, I feel like the members are in better spirits this comeback than on Dr. Bebe era, and they have shed off the burden of trying to prove themselves by deciding that they'll just be here creating life changing music rather than trying to fit the mold that the people or audience want to fit them in.

When i listen to daisy for the first time, before the english subtitles added, i thought the song has sad lyrics/message bcs of those scenes in their mv, but at the same time the music didn't feel that sad. It's so catchy, also the chorus and the bridge are incredible. I can't help but singing along or banging my head while listen to it haha So i agree when you said that daisy is a bittersweet song. And i love it more because this type of song is very rare, which proves hui's creativity and ability in making songs. Also did you notice how clever the lyrics are? They are playing with words!

daisy is really something else tbh i was a little bit disappointed about the mv, but not because it's bad. hell it's not. it is that the song is just THAT great that it almost overplaces the mv. pentagon has always stood out for me, even though i haven't actually had an opportunity to really fall into them. that is kinda odd, because they were nowhere near my ult groups, but when i've had a hard time recovering from a fail trying to start a romantic relationship, they were those ones who helped me through their music. they definitely deserve more consideration. i love what they're doing sooo much
