I just wanted to say thank you. My daughter passed away on 3/18 of this year, and in her memory I have been making prayer shawls. Every one I have made to date (10 so far) has been a pattern you have posted. My brain is still in a fog... and having such clear tutorials has been a blessing.

hi. i have been made 3 blankets so for to each of my kids. My skills are very basic and i cant read crochet books to learn their patterns. the best way of learning for me is the you tube for me. anyway, I am making a shoulder shawl for my sister who is not well. I tried so many different designs but nothing didn't agreed with me. I dont know how many times and how long I spend time for get some ideas to make a shawl for her. I found your this video and tried, of course. I dont know how to say thank you to you because your explanation is clear and repeat enough to get ideas what is going on. I love your giggles! they made me giggles too. thank you again very much

WOWZA F. SPIDER!! I have this yarn same color actually. Anyway, It was in mid sample of a brain storm idea...went and frogged it all ( had one on each end. SO EASY HAVE THIS PATTERN MADE YOU!! LOL yODA MOMENT EXCUSE ME~ HAHAH i'm 1 eye crossed & the other is missing somewhere near lash Lane on it's way to No More for me city! I recon I'll head off to bed and pick this up again in the morning after I tie up some loose ends on my CAL I just had to pop in and tell u BRAVO!!!!!! the pattern is so easy to see and then the # sequence just makes it even easier. Im reading on how to create patterns etc. U have shown me , Its a lovely undertaking& Doesn't have to be scary and only for the mastermind mathematicians ( Not that you aren't any of those marvelous things lol Im not, lol thats my point. lolol) Goodnite, I mean good mornin of to catch a z or 3 before my opportunity slides away on a metal hook!! ~~ THANK YOU AGAIN F. SynfullyWkd67 doin mean I'm 1 eye crossed and one eye missing on lash lane? Ummm I don't see a typo there that was the intended FUNNY. It ment one eye was crossed and the other was already hiding so it could sleep. Not sure if I'm seeing what your seeing...hahahah no pun intended (talking about eyes & vision..lol) anyway I'm happy you had a good giggle. I was cracking up while typing the message. Might look like jiberish to most. But that's ok. L I got a kick out of it 😂🤣😄😆😊😉

Ooh, that's really pretty! I wonder, how do you think this would look in a sock/fingering weight yarn? I realize, it'll be a LOT more work, but do you think it would look good? What the heck, I think I'm going to give it a go. I can always take it back apart if I don't care for the fabric it makes, right? What do you think-- maybe an E hook?

To be completely honest, I had forgotten all about this until I saw your question. I needed to write this out as a pattern, and I have been busy finishing up some other projects I was working. I've now taken the necessary 45 minutes or so, and have re-watched and written it all out. I should be starting this soon, as I have a recipient in mind for this. Will have to swatch a bit to see what size hook to use to get a good fabric. Thanks for the question, though! I will now actually DO this shawl!! Wish me luck!
