Es que así es, pero según entiendo el Yiddish es un poco menos inteligible con el Alemán que el Ladino con el Español.

it made me so happy to see content about djudezmo on dreaming spanish! and so heartwarmed as well also that you would go to the extent of learning the hebrew alphabet to better understand the language. i hope to one day study djudezmo in earnest, and the spanish i've acquiring through dreaming spanish is a major first step in getting there.

Guau, me gustó mucho este video! Yo creía que estaba al nivel intermedio, pero la verdad es que no entiendo todo o solo entiendo a un nivel superficial cuando veo o escucho contenido en español. Pero este video está a un nivel que pude entender casi la mayoría! Me gustaría ver más videos como este, sobre culturas, historia, música y tal. Mis abuelos paternos eran judíos Sefardies, vinieron de Izmir (Esmirna) y hablaban ladino. De niña yo escuchaba un idioma que entendía pero me sonaba "raro".

Hey Pablo I had a somewhat lengthy question if you don’t mind. I’m about to be at around 250 hrs of listening on your website. I’ve watched every public video, every super beginner, beginner, and now I’m getting close to being done with most of the intermediate videos that go up to 4000 words. I’ve taken some random tests online and I seem to get results that go with your line graph on your website because the quizzes estimate I know about 4000-5000 words (I guess I’m on the lower end of 4000). My question is that once I finish the 4000 videos should I watch the 5000 videos and if so what about if I finish the 5000 videos before I hit 600 hrs. Is there a point where I should wait for more content around my level instead of moving on to the higher vocab size videos? I’ll admit I haven’t tried 5000+ videos yet (except for any public videos) so I have no idea how much I comprehend as the vocab sizes get bigger. I read Krashens book you recommended and I am unsure at what point I’d be pushing beyond the n + 1 comprehension. Sorry for the long question and thank you for dreaming Spanish 😊

Try it! Only by trying will you know if you can understand them well. My expectation is that the number of words is not going to be as important as watching videos by a teacher that speaks clearly and about a topic that you are familiar with.
