I finally feel like I'm at a point where I can move on to native content and your videos have been a huge help in getting there, so I just wanna say thank you for all the hard work putting these videos together and helping people like me learn this wonderful language! I will definitely still be checking out the advanced videos when the topics interest me. Keep up the good work!

My roots are from the Balkans and I heared old people saying a word for 'don't talk bullshit' - 'pallavra', I read that Sephardic Jews brought that word (like in Spanish 'palabra') to the Ottoman Empire when they settled in today's Turkey. Since Kosovo was about 500 years under Ottoman occupation, the word found its way to the Albanian language

Ladino is indeed an interesting topic. But a different but related non linguistic topic re Ladino is that to me, it seems that in 1492 the Spanish took the Golden Eggs but threw away the Golden Goose, and once the eggs were gone, they are still missing the Sephardic Goose that laid the eggs. I know this is an odd view, but here it is. ~ Diego

Personally I think two language varieties can be called different languages if they are mutually intelligible without any significant difficulty - after all, communication is the very purpose of language, so it seems natural that if two people can communicate perfectly well, then they are speaking the same language. The word "significant" is very imprecise here, however there are some cases where it is obvious which side of the line it falls on (Dutch and English are clearly different languages while Argentinian and European Spanish are clearly the same language) I think Judaeo-Spanish is a case where it falls pretty clearly on one side - contrary to what Carlos says, I think it is the same language as Spanish. I am a non-fluent learner of Spanish (I can't understand Spanish radio still), but I've watched videos of people speaking Judaeo-Spanish and understood pretty much all of it. The differences from other Spanish varieties seem no larger than those between Rioplatanese (Argentina and Uruguay) Spanish and Pablo's Spanish. Yes there are phonological, grammatical, and lexical differences, but none large enough to significantly hinder mutual intelligibility. It definitely looks different in writing pero kuando ejkribíh el Ehpanyol de Arjentina fonetikamente se be diferente también.

Can you add more modes of payment for becoming a premium member? I am from India, and I tried to pay using a Visa Card but the transactions kept failing. Please add Google Pay, or PayPal. That would make it easier for people like me to subscribe. Paying through Patreon was easier.
