This one was a testing but lovely walk. Some incidents on this one and it was tricky to put together, I hope you enjoy it😃. More info in the description. Thanks for watching ⛰👍🙏 If you would like to support my channel that would be amazing 😀: buymeacoffee.com/trekkingwithtony

Haystacks was my very first Wainwright in 2021. I found the scramble at the summit a challenge- age 61, but I have now got more confident. I did the 3 other Buttermere fells last year. I too had spectacular views. Great video.

Hi Paula, That’s quite an achievement, it is a beautiful area with some tricky Wainwrights. I’m glad you got the views as it has some of the finest in Lakeland. Enjoy it out there 🥾😁🥾

So glad that you were able to complete this hike in good weather. The views are stunning. I did that very same hike eight years ago and it was great to be reliving it in your video. Thanks for posting this video.

Morning Tony. One of my favourite areas and walks in the Lakes. I did the Buutermere Edge a couple of years ago on a baking hot day. You are right in what you say. The route between High Crag and Hay Stacks is not to be underestimated and certainly not to be rushed. It’s easy to come a cropper on there. Wonderful video and footage from the drone again mate. All the best Dave 😃🥾⛰

Hi Dave, it is a wonderful area. Probably my favourite of all the fells. It is tricky and I saw a few go over on the downs do one to be careful for sure. Thanks mate, appreciated as always. Enjoy it out there 😁☀️⛰️

I've just found your channel I've walked the Lake District for many years and follow a lot of KZbinrs unfortunately I am no longer able to walk the big mountains but you're filming and commentary are very good one of my favourite walks and Buttermere is my favourite place in the late District

Hey Robert, Thanks mate😁. A pity you can’t get to the big ones but at least I can show them to you. I’m aiming to show walks big and small so some for you to remember and maybe some new ones to do. I’ll be back over in Buttermere in the coming weeks as lots to see there⛰️. Welcome aboard ⛰️🥾👍

Another great video Tony, as well as a reminder as to why you should be careful in the fells. Keep up the good work

Thanks Mark👍. The fells are wild places and need to be respected as such. Will do mate, I appreciate the commment⛰️🥾😁

Great video again Tony. Did this in reverse about 5 years ago including Fleetwith Pike. Survived the scramble down Red Pike, keep the walks coming 👍

Thanks Nick, that is a tricky down for sure⛰️.I’m hoping to visit Fleetwith Pike this weekend 😁. Will do mate, enjoy it out there 🥾👍

Superb video and commentary. Glad you recovered the drone and finished the route. I have done all 4 and I agree with everything you said about taking care. The scramble up to Haystacks is not easy and I found it harder than expected. You got great views throughout and blue sky weather. Regards, Ashley

Hey Ashley, so glad I got it back. Thankfully a great ‘where is my drone’ function in it 😅. Yes mate, you’ve got to respect the fells. They will catch you out if you don’t. Enjoy it out there mate 🥾⛰️😁

Great video Tony and nice to see a route I've done (didn't add on Haystacks though we bailed after Seat). We all ended up on our bums going down from High Crag but it's a cracking route with incredible views 🥰
@trekkingwithtony8 ай бұрын
Thanks mate, plenty going down on their bums, it’s a tricky off and I say a few slips. I’d still rather come off there than Red Pike though 😅. Glad you got to do it, want a route. I’m hopefully heading up Fleetwith Pike and Haystacks soon so looking forward to showing that ⛰️🥾😁

Hay Louise, I’m hoping to do Haystacks and Fleetwith Pike this weekend. Yes they would love it. There is a grassy bank at the side which is easy walking for them. It is a sketchy down so be careful. Let me know what you think when you do it 😁⛰️🥾

How long did your walk take?? I will be in the Lake District in early December. Is this something that could be feasible/realistically done considering that time of year ??
@trekkingwithtonyАй бұрын
Hi mate, it is just short of 6 hours but the final walk along the water is flat and the down once off Haystacks is an easy path in the main so as long as you are on your way down you should be fine. Take a torch of course. If you find you are running low on time you can always leave haystacks and do it another day. I’ve another shorter walk with haystacks and Fleetwith Pike which is shorter and great fun. It’s in the Western Fells folder. Enjoy it out there mate ⛰️😁🥾

That looked a cracking walk with plenty of variety. Not done much walking around Buttermere it has to be said I must pay it a visit when time permits.
