Like I commented last night, I swear there are “Laker fans” lately who are angry when the Lakers win so they can’t push their panic narratives

Christie defending guards is definitely heading in the right direction. But we still need a 3&D wing that can matchup with stronger players.

@jsm the Lebron and AD call out on body language! yeah, leadership. But putting a premium on defensive minutes rather than offensive, and having a good balance. Christie is athletic, fast, and frenetic, but also fundamental and coachable. Great break down
@OneWhoKN0ZE18 күн бұрын
It sounds like you are saying that D doesn’t win games. When the lakers were good (80s) they were a fast break team that turned the D up and that is what won in the POs. Now with the 3s and the defensive plays that equal fouls we have a game that should just declare the first to 130 the winner. No thanks.

Sorry but im not sold on kaloko. He kinda slow on the switch and as a 7 footer he struggles to get a rebound. Offensively speaking though he is a good lob threat for LA. But i like my center to grab rebounds and block/contest shot scoring is secondary.

I’m not “sold” on Koloko either. I’m just pointing out the few good defensive games he’s had here lately. That’s a positive.
@echoe_envy249718 күн бұрын
Koloko is our only Back Up C at the moment and mind you he is recovering from a blood clot which can end careers, I’m not “Sold” on him but he has been playing as best he can he needs a bit more development he is a 1 year player after all.

2 perimeter defenders is more than twice as good as one. Gabes D is always good, his o is ennh, and sometimes instincts aren't there but he isn't even comfortable yet and that will happen.
@keepitmum830617 күн бұрын
The Lakers have shown for the past few years now that they have stretches where they look good, and stretches where they look terrible. Much of that depends on who they are playing. Let's not overreact to one game. We already know that the current roster is just not talented or athletic enough on either side of the floor to complete for a chip this year. If Rob does not make a move or two before the trade deadline, it is obvious that he may just blow it up in the off season.

Champion level teams play solid defense so its exciting to see the Lakers ranked the third best defense in the NBA. However, having the 29th ranked offense is embarrassing. The Lakers should be looking to feed AD in the paint every possession. LeBron should be the second option every possession. This team proved that was good enough to present problems to anyone during their hot start. I do think this team will be hard to beat once they get healthy. I can see them as the 4th or 5th seed come the playoffs.

I hope we can keep Christie in the starting lineup and add Reddish back into the starting lineup to replace Rui to move him off the bench so we can have balance in the rotation until we make trades to help us improve to win an championship.
@elvide018 күн бұрын
Cam is great but too small and rui provides better shooting and rebounds. Our true key to success is vando, who will ABSOLUTELY be in the starting lineup after a couple weeks to ramp up from injury. He is the sole reason to our success when we made the WCF.

D has been very good above a excellent AD, specifically bc of point of attack/perimeter D of Reddish, Christie, Vincent, while Koloco has been very good as AD reliever with little D drop off for resting AD. It's been good. Knect has been noticeably WAY OFF. 🧐🫡
