I feel like AR's huge 16 assist game was the last nudge to move on from Dlo as he showed that he can be trusted to play and thrive in that role. Realistically the ball is always going to be in either AR or Brons hands so maybe the priority should be to finally get that reliable backup big

@@lescuyertourisme7328 I think Dlo had more chances than most and even I thought he just needed more time, but after last year playoffs I am convinced he just doesn't have it when the pressure is on. You just can't have those kind of performances in the important games. Had he contributed just a little bit more we beat Denver, every game was so close but he was just not there mentally.

@@lescuyertourisme7328 I don't mind TO's from your point, Bron has just as many in any given game. It just means that he's aggressive and willing to take chances to create. You're making way too big of a deal about Dorian Finney-Smith's age in the cons. Yes, he's 31 but he was only born in 1993. And guess what, Anthony Davis is also 31 years old. So if AD being 31 doesn't keep you up at night and fearing his decline despite being injury-prone, then I think Dorian Finney-Smith will be just fine.

Boucher is 6’9” with a 7’4” wingspan who can play 3/4 and can shoot. Jalen is a rebounding and defensive beast. Nick is a young, cheap option at the 5. And Bones is a supreme upside talent wasting away with the Clippers. We can use any and all of these guys.

Dlo isn’t that bad. He just needs the ball in his hands, which AR took the ball this year under JJ scheme. Over the years we have seen that dlo isn’t the type who stand at the corner wait for the ball kind of player. That isn’t where he can be effective. He needs the ball in his hands to run the offense. It’s just not the right fit in this system this year. He helped the team to 2 playoff appearances, he deserves way more credits than anything.

We have all appreciated having D’Angelo Russell part our team we thought that he was gonna be a great fit once again he did it for a moment or two, but D’Angelo Russell like anybody else got tired of hearing of trade rumors but if D’Angelo Russell would’ve just played like he did like we know he can. He wouldn’t have to worry about that Some days he come out like I’m the Schnick and some games come out like I don’t give a damn what they do to me so D’Angelo as we are Laker fans we wish you the best hoping you do your best. Don’t wind up being bitter, angry and upset. You brought it all upon yourself, but you can change things around by going out there and letting people know that you still got it dude Give your best. Do your best be the best of the best and this will stop happening to you, but when you go out there, pouting mad, acting like a wolf showing that you don’t give a exam then they’ll get rid of you again will be D’Angelo Russell who showed up as a rookie with the Lakers. It was sad and hurtful they got rid of the first time They should’ve never have got rid of you but things happen. You had a great opportunity and you got back with the Lakers, but you pout it and all you have to do is show your talent teams are based on everybody. I don’t understand why sports announcers and dumb people always want to base it on one or two or three never in history have one or two or three have won a championship game is based on allall of the players pulling together and these weak ass coaches who do not know how to play their teams who wants to be a part of a team and I’ll never get in there you couldn’t put me in on garbage time or we lose next. Hell no so D’Angelo we appreciate your time here with us in LA and we wish the best for you, bro.

It’s been clear for a while that this move was inevitable. D’Angelo Russell’s passive play lately made it obvious-even he seemed to know a trade was coming. While he’s a talented player with solid contributions, he never quite reached the star or superstar level that many hoped for when he entered the league.

FINALLY Rob, FINALLY! Hated to lose DLo. Such a nice cool person and player, at times an extremely TALENTED ball player. Just not at critical times though. Looking forward to bringing DFS into the mix! I’m certain now that we can cut / trade / sell JHS, WOOD, HAYES, even VANDO. Don’t want that but let’s be honest. Who in this world, when saying to our boss at work, I can’t come in, I can’t deliver what I’m getting paid to do…..oh and by the way, it could be as long as 2-3 Y E A R S 😲, can I STILL get paid??? I know, we know he’s been injured, but it’s been so long, TOO LONG, Lakers probably need to move on. Gabe is in the same boat, but he’s had some solid games since returning from injury. Trouble now is an oblique injury which could last a while, DECADES on the Lakers Team. 😂😂😂. If Rob can manage to get Bruce Brown, we’ll be more capable of challenging other teams in the Wild West. Another is Nick Richards - WAAAAY more affordable! Robert Williams III is too, but we’ve got plenty of our own injuries, thank you very much. Jimmy Butler 30th over all pick Nikola Jokic 41st draft pick Finney Smith for only 15mil contract for the rest of this season, that cleans up or saves the Lakers some money just for those 2 round picks which we don't know what the future holds. I don't know if you have an idea how trade works in the NBA. Then I guess I just wasted my time on you. These are role players, definitely an upgrade interns of defense. dLo can rarely give you 20 plus points and can never do defense. Finney Smith can lock down a superstar and also have even played as a center in Brooklyn at 6'7 height.

Finney smith is shooting 44% from 3 at the moment let's see if he can keep that up with the 🟣 🟡 jersey on because we all know players shrink under the LA lights

Can’t wait for that shooting percentage to go way down

The trade in my opinion could’ve been better. DLo had a decent size contract if we was gonna let him go we should got a big man. AD back up bigs are both hurt and just sitting on the collecting checks at least DLo was bringing value. I’m very sure the Lakers don’t watch Maxwell Lewis tape he’s a good shooter and defender he’s a younger Cam Reddish with a shot smh.

A logjam of versatile wings is much better than the inexplicable logjam of guards the Lakers had during the Westbrook era, drastically better, opposite end of the spectrum

Having Shake behind Gabe is crazy to me.. Am I reaching or should he start over Max to??
@ChaseBeck-d6h2 күн бұрын
You don't know basketball no way Shake Melton should start over Max Christie

Next problem pundits would say to the Lakers is they need a playmaker/scorer while Bron is taking a break😂 which was what the inconsistent DLo was. It goes in full circle
@LaLisa-x4h2 күн бұрын
Can we get a nick richards and robert williams as well? Both an astonishing great elite rim protector that will help AD to cover the paint as well
@benpuno24942 күн бұрын
That Charlotte trade would go insanely good for the Lakers. Hell thrive playing next to AD 💯🔥
@LaLisa-x4h2 күн бұрын
@ Yessirr!! A good starting/backup versatile center at nick richards or rob williams for a low price will benefit the team for sure!! 🔥💯

This trade is not great for the regular season as DLo can often be our third best scorer, but it's probably better for the playoffs as he gets targeted on defense.

now i hope he releases all the voice messages on lebron and diddy dirt and all the rest of the locker room chatter.

Next up on the chopping block: Gabe, JHS, Wood, Hayes, Vando, Rui

Our new 3 and D wing…isn’t good defending the perimeter….. and is inconsistent in health… My opinion has not changed of this front office. They did their job after 2 years. Cool. Especially now that we have another player option on an old guy and we lose the ability to protect a first. Impatience has hindered us. I’ve never been an all in all the time lakers fan.

I’m glad we got some defense back for dlo
@user-cj1tc8zi4e2 күн бұрын
Major defense upgrade I remember at the Irving trade that Smith was a major loss because he was an elite defender. Dallas fixed that problem during off season so we see what great defenders can do when you have offense weapons assuming everyone considers Lebron dribbling at top of the key a great offensive weapon during this time of his career.

Imagine in the playoffs a starting 5 of Bron at the point, Max, DFS, Vando, AD. Who putting up over 90 points on that. We still need to find a way to add a Bruce Brown or someone in that mold then it's a wrap. Not sure why they didnt include Rui & Gabe wit the 2 first and try to add Cam & Sharpe to this deal
@ChaseBeck-d6h2 күн бұрын
Nobody scared of that lineup at all 😂
@ChaseBeck-d6h2 күн бұрын
And I bet alot of teama score over 90 points on that the Nuggets, Mavericks 😂😂😂

@pmacthegreat9999Күн бұрын
@ you think this is the only move their going to make ?? you believe that they traded d’angelo russell for basically no reason just to do it ??😭 another trade is definitely in the works those first round picks are still in play and we need a real big behind AD clint capela wya bron gon be playing more pg now for sure
@pmacthegreat9999Күн бұрын
@ that 2023 series was literally a bad performance out of dlo wym ? and 2024 was better but it was really just jamal outshining him since he feels like turning into michael jordan when he plays the lakers
@duncanidaho20972 күн бұрын
So the Lakeshow trades away several assets for a pretty old guy instead of promoting their hyped Bronny, since they were jumping up and down and high five ing to get their next superstar in the second round no one else wanted. They still don’t have a big man to rebound and play defense to augment AD.
@zkupnext_92942 күн бұрын
3 second round picks and they’re going to get another big soon do u just get off throwing shade towards bron my guy
