I’m going to address some of these comments. There’s nothing wrong with thinking LeBron is the problem. I respect that opinion. Give me some logical reasoning because that’s not what I see. I see a slightly below average defender who is 39 and playing at an all-nba level on the offensive end. The GM stuff he’s pulled is a very fair critique and something I didn’t even think to mention in this video. That one is on me. But it’s not at the top of my list for problems. Sometimes we all need to remember it’s perfectly fine to view players and situations differently, as long as that person came to the conclusion through a logical line of reasoning. None of us are going to bat .1000 with our NBA takes. But the amount of people who despise LeBron on a personal level in these comments is surprising. Roast him all you want, but give me some reasoning please outside of your personal hatred for him. Plus remember that you are not in the majority here. Every reasonable, unbiased basketball mind can acknowledge LeBron is having an unprecedented season for his age. You may not agree with the AMOUNT of credit he’s getting, but nonetheless, it’s impressive. I couldn’t care less about LeBron. I’m not a fan. I have no emotional stake in his success. I’m just a fan of basketball. For everyone engaging in thoughtful basketball takes, I take no issue with that. That’s what this channel and comment section is for. For those of you being disrespectful and dismissive of opposing arguments. Come on guys. You don’t know everything. Be at least willing to hear people out and potentially wrong.

1. The Lakers faced subpar competition in the absurd "In-Season Tournament." 2. LeBron cannot give them more than stats at this moment. 3. AD is playing great, but he needs the ball to be passed to him, which only happens sometimes. 4. Only AD is playing at an "all NBA level." They are almost to the point that he must always be on the court. Something that's not sustainable. 5. The Lakers need the referees to stay in games at least. 6. The Lakers are not that good. They have not been really that good since LeBron has been there.

Sticking to this season. So far, what I see is someone who is being praised for not playing defense. Yes praised, specifically by Bill Simmons on his podcast (Simmons referred to it as conserving energy - what?). He is not sub-par on defense, he is rarely playing defense. LeBron is shooting around 27% outside of 5 feet. Most of all it's the body language. It is just horrible. I don't know how someone who is supposed to be a leader, and "makes everyone around him better" can walk around with such a negative attitude and no one is allowed to question it without being called a hater. If someone at my job was walking around like that I would ask them what's wrong. Believe me, if I can see it watching a game from my living room then I know his teammates are seeing it. I can't count how many times I've seen him have a turnover, of his own making, and either lackadaisically trot down to the other end, or even worse, just stand there until the other team scores, (because it's 5 on 4) then he calls a time out and walk to the bench. He is not hustling on either end. His rebounds are mostly him standing there, not playing defense, and waiting for the ball to come to him. The constant praise sent his way while blaming teammates has set a horrible precedent. The team has got to be just fed up. AD should have been IST MVP. Maybe LeBron made the difference in 1 or 2 games, but so did Reaves, AD made the difference in ALL of them. This is not to say the rest of the Lakers are not at fault as well, there's enough problems to spread around. However, when you're out there busting your (a'hem), and you see your "superstar" pouting, it must be hard to get motivated. Add to that you hear he's playing great and you're the problem, it becomes defeating. What is the motivation of Russell, Vanderbilt, Rui, Reddish, or anyone else, to continue playing hard?

You forget to mention that the Lakers got hot last year while LeBron was "injured." There is a clear lack of leadership from LeBron - he simply cannot rally the team around him. It's always everyone else's fault. But when you take Lebron out of the equation, this group of guys can catch fire. It's pretty obvious what the issue is, but all you major commentators are scares to say it. Lebron. Is. The. Problem.

@@CcveysiIm a Lakers fan and I know why, its because of the FO incompetency. Sure we won in 2020 and Rob and Jeanie have made amazing moves but they’ve also done some boneheaded trades as well. They traded all of our perimeter defenders/wings in Kuzma and KCP for an over the hill Westbrook when they shouldve traded for Hield and Turner. They then traded McGee and Dwight, two of the best rim protectors we’ve had in a while, whomst were very crucial to us winning 2020, for capspace instead of re-signing them for at least another year back. Let’s not forget Jeanie refused to give TyLue a contract that lasted more than 3years and that caused TyLue to get pissed off and signed with the other LA team. Instead we got Vogel and yeah he might be a good defensive coach but his offensive rotations were godawful, same thing with Ham. I never really liked the Darvin Ham signing, had a feeling we shouldve waited for Nick Nurse to be available but the FO scapegoated Vogel instead of taking full responsibility. But fr, why would they trade all our perimeter and paint defenders then not trade for Hield and Turner, it wouldve literally kill 2birds with 1 stone.

Stop looking at counting stats for Lebron. Look at the little things you have to do on the court as the leader to get buy-in from the role players. When you are taking defense off, not get back on defense, bad body language and blaming others you get less buy-in from others. He is getting good #s on a bad team. If this were some other player in the league who is putting up empty numbers but didn’t play defense we would be hammering them and certainly wouldn’t make excuses for them.

But they have to play according to the script. Here's the narrative: 1. Lebron is carrying all these bums => constantly chanted by the media and his fanboys 2. It's all his teammates' especially co-stars' fault but never LeBron's, despite stats and in-game footages telling otherwise. 3. It's also the GM and the organizations fault for not having enough help around LeBron => prior to not so successful season, the media was praising Rob Pelinka on all the trade moves and contract signings that he made, how he was genius. But now the script is all opposite for some reason. 4. LeBron always needs more help 🤣. He always had at least 2 all stars or former all stars in his team, but it's somehow never enough when things start to go south. 5. LeBron always has some story about his injuries at a convenient time. Like in last year's conference finals when he lost to Denver. He somehow had a tendon injury that no one knew about and media was pushing this hard, especially Nick Wright and Shannon Sharpe. In fact, it was all about LeBron, not about basketball, not about the winners. And yet, LeFlop was dunking left and right with no problem all throughout the series.

This is something that Lakers fans and Lebron bandwagoners need to understand. The Lakers are the exact same team as last year. They have the same players, with the same coach, and yhe same trio from last years playoff run. And they clearly are good enough to compete because of the lebron invitational cup that happened earlier this season. How come when lebron is getting negative plus/minus in the boxscore and choking in clutch moments, he never gets the blame. They literally only beat a rebuilding raptors team by the refs saving their butts. It was the same thing last year. The lakers got more free throws than anyone else in the nba so they were good. And how come when a call goes against the lakers that is a bad call, the lakers fans get up in arms and cry and throw tantrums for the bad call. But when a bad call goes their way they say, "Oh just learn basketball, they clearly drive to rim more and get more calls because of it." Its BS. The lakers are good, but Queen James is holding them back. He is trying to be the number 1 option when AD is clearly better and Reeves is more consistent. Lakers fans need to accept that the team is good, but their Queen is falling off a cliff in production and efficiency and is hding the lakers back.

This is a pattern I have noticed with Lebron throughout the years. Dude is an ultra talented athlete and player. But it seems like every time he switches teams he goes there, recruit superstar(s). Influences the front office decision. Wants all his guys to get paid tons of money. Puts the team in a bad situation, team makes goid move for younger players, teams goes on hot streak, tgey lose a couple gsmes, Lebron Gets complacent, requests team signs aging veterans, says there is nothing on the team for him to stay, then leaves the team in ruin. And when you look at his body language and lack of leadership when things aren’t going well since his Miami days it is not good and negatively influences his team. There are also so many young players who have a couple good seasons before joining a lebron team. they then get turned into a spot up player no matter who they are and then theyctaje a couple years to bounce back.

The Lake show looked great last night against Boston. The young guys have great chemistry playing without LeBron on the floor. The Lakers should keep AD and trade Lebron. The team defense, chemistry, ball movement, effort and camaraderie are better when Lebron’s off the floor even in games he doesn’t sit out. The Lakers could make a bunch of trades before the trade deadline giving up good young talent for a 39 year old star with no upside who could opt out of his contract after this season. It’s not worth the gamble because even if Lebron stays he’ll be 40 next year and the Lakers will experience deja vu again this time next year aka “Lebron needs help”.

LeBron is clearly the problem to anybody who actually fucking watches them. But nobody does. (That’s the problem with the NBA. The NBA is exclusively a social media professional sports league. The NFL and others exist to be watched on television. The NBA is so fucking boring nowadays that it can only be consumed in highlight clips days later. ) When you watch LeBron during any Lakers game, he does the following: On offense, he charges towards the hoop, while everybody else is made to stand completely still on the perimeter. He forces contact in the hopes of getting a nickel-dimer. He usually does, but if not, he is ABSOLUTELY absent the following defensive possession, likely complaining to the referees. On defense, if he finds it within himself to actually fucking go to that end of the floor, as is his job, he stands exclusively in the same exact spot, just off of the baseline, every single time. That’s it. He rarely guards outside, and he is of little value inside, as he never helps his teammates against a driving opponent, even when he has every opportunity to do so.

@@hardwood_yt. We were already through the rebuilding process around years 14-17. The years when Kobe’s body aged out and we had a bunch of young pieces because we were rebuilding. Pieces that got traded or let go after LBJ joined and I wouldn’t doubt he had a voice in that. The discomfort for me as a Lakers fans is the disappointing turnout with LeBron and AD. Once we got them both, it was pretty much expected to dominate with having the self-proclaimed goat. Plenty of players have been moved like chess pieces too throughout this time and I don’t think that’s how you can develop a team. LeBron and Lakers talk too much at times too like when he tweeted about “keeping that same energy” just to eat his words. Now it’s the same excuses for LBJ teams before that he needs more help, they need to make trades, the coach needs to be fired. I think the franchise really just blew it after reconstructing the 2020 roster. We haven’t been able to reach back to the finals, compared to the Heat who did and aren’t struggling like us. I just feel like the Lakers and the culture is very different right now than it was just a couple years ago.
