Hi Jared, another video that keeps you watching. Looks like a good show and some of those displays are great though they do make me feel a bit envious. It looks like you and Sarah, (let me know if spelling is incorrect) had a good time there and a couple of neat buys. 👍Keep Safe & Keep Rockin

My family and I made it to this show! It was really, really great. We weren't there for the tailgating event, but holy smokes, we won't be missing it next time! Thanks for showing that aspect of the show, that was really cool. The $3 grab bags from the junior table had a ton of cool things in them.

I'm looking forward to next year seeing how the tailgate event goes.

Thanks dor the tour of the rock and gem show! It looked pretty crowded in there! So much to see! Im looking forward to the portland one next weekend! If my sister in law doesnt flake on me. I need someone to go with me to help me navigate around because i cant handle too much walking at one time. And so im going to have to take several breaks. But it should be fun! I hope to meet you and Sarah there this year! And all the other local rockhounds! Thanks Jared and Sarah!

Thanks for coming by! The winning case (10:36) was a recreation from The Lion King. A driving force behind our show planning is that it's supposed to be about the hobby, not sales, which is why we try to put the focus on the cases, demos, and Junior Club. I'm hoping next year we can have more educational displays/vendors. As you mentioned, we also need to advertise the tailgate better. Honestly, I kept forgetting about it so it didn't get talked up at the club meetings enough.

I really don't think its that common to focus on the educational displays as the primary driving force of a show but I'm glad you did and I think it really shows. I think if word spread early that anyone club member or not could vend at tailgate event you could get tons of people coming out to it.

Thanks for bringing us along. I've found at our shows we can't film. The "President" was a jerk, but otherwise it looked like good family fun.
@CurrentlyRockhounding Жыл бұрын
What show doesn't let people film? If the goal is promotion of the club then telling people that can't film is pretty crazy.

Very cool video The guy with the 3D printed machines is awesome. I do regular giveaways for the same reasons he builds low $ Equipment. I want more people to get into this hobby. The bigger it gets, the better it gets for all of us rock and minerals people. ❤❤ Thank you for sharing

Also the more people buying machines the more likely it is we will see advancements in it.

I vote for the pet wood rounds and pinecone. I like the youth minecraft exhibit because my grandson always talks to me about the minerals in minecraft..it reminds me of him.

The butterflies are so great! I didn't get a real good look like you did. I'm very interested in how they did it. Is it all made out of the same rock? Is it in pieces and glue together or is it just one unit? This is something I did very interested in achieving myself. If you could tell me more that would be amazing!! Thanks
