The Lamenters get something very special for Christmas

Sorry if it seems a little rushed, I had to change the original idea to make it in time before Christmas. I think it turned out alright for what I was going for. I wanted to give the Lamenters a happy ending for once, well, at least a happy ending for them. It's in a weird place between sincerity and parody so it's kind of strange but I kind of like it haha. Anyway, thanks for watching and have a Merry Christmas wherever you are in the world!

this is extremely canon for the Lamentors. they as a whole are the Angel's most beloved sons. since their inception, they have been beaten, bashed and slaughtered. all because they were made during the Cursed 21st founding. They are GW's punching bag that gave everything, bled til there was truly nothing left. Quite literally, until Primaris reinforcements brought them back, the Lamentors had been reduced to basically a single Dreadnaught, either suffering from or on the verge of falling to the Black Rage, while in the Death Watch for penance.

Wow... I never thought I would ever see a 'good' ending for a Lamenter. But it does fill my insides with this warm and fuzzy feeling. And intertwining all of the different Christmas songs into the video was amazing. Can't recall the name of the tune at the moment, but the mournful strumming when the Lamenter left the present for his fallen brother was perfectly executed! Also, that coal scene at the end was too much to stop me from getting a good laugh from it. XD Well done and thank you for giving us this little treat. And Merry Christmas to you as well!

On a related topic, I've always liked to imagine the Night Lords act as a sort of Secret Sanguinella group to the Lamenters since they strive to be good people in the face of the same contempt the NL faced, sort of as an echo of Konrads (admittedly somewhat twisted) love and respect for Sanguinius for how the winged son worked so hard to keep his nobility.

How the Orks stole Sanguinalia 'Twas Sanguinalia day in the hive and all had good cheer, for not celebrating was heresy and the Arbites were near. But some Lamenters had arrived, a refueling stop planned, they watched over the civilians so no one got blammed. The Warp yawned open and Kill Kroozers dotted the sky, Warboss Bloodkrazy screamed for all the humies to die. For he honored Grotmas and every Ork knew, having different holidays was a reason to krump you! Shells from da big gunz burst against the hive's shields, as thousands of landas dropped boyz in the fields. Astartes raced to their Land Raiders, the PDF manned the walls, As the Manufactorum activated a Titan so tall! Soon shootas were blazing and bolters did retort, As the Mechanicus' Warhound crushed tanks for sport. But the Mekboyz worked hard and built Soopa Gunz To make sure that Titan would have no more fun. The defenders were pushed back, battle spilled into the city, "WAAAAAGHHHH!!!", the Orks shouted, bloodlust making them giddy! With a revving of chainswords, xenos were cut apart, The human forces were saved by yellow armor and hearts. "For Sanginius, for the Emperor!", the Lamenters cried out, Beneath waves of bolter fire, the orks came close to a rout. But their resolve was hardened when Bloodkrazy joined the fight, Reminding them krumpin' on Grotmas was what's orky and right! With dakka and rokkits and a big power klaw, Bloodkrazy was scarier than anything the PDF ever saw. They might have fled battle and made no more contributions, so their commissar improved morale with a few executions! But the battle was turning, the Imperials thought they were dead, then horns blared in the sky and a church fell on ork heads! Screaming nuns in red armor poured forth from its gate, The Bloody Rose here to show xenos the Emperor's hate! With blood streaming down cheeks sisters launched into the fray, Marines exchanged nervous glances, these bitches be cray! Lamenters praised the Emperor as reinforcements turned the tide, Mostly just thankful these berserk maniacs were on THEIR side. The Warboss was a terror, a match for a whole squad, enraged and determined to prove Gork and Mork stronger Gods. Sororitas joined the battle but at their flamers he laughed, plucking a Seraphim from the air and biting her body in half! A sergeant with a grav gun brought Bloodkrazy to his knees, And upon such an opening his brothers did seize. The Warboss was slashed and shot but with a sweep of his klaw, the marines were sent sprawling and he let out a guffaw. Bloodkrazy stabbed forth and impaled the sergeant's body, But could not pull out his klaw, the Astartes' grip was not shoddy! The Lamenter smiled viciously though the state of him was gory, "For those I cherish, I die in glory!" A sister superior charged up Bloodkrazy's immobilized arm, Her power sword doing his neck fatal harm! His head fell clean off with a final great shout, And in his last moments he understood what Sanguinalia's about. Without their leader, the orks ran away, together brothers and sisters had saved the day. The Imperials cheered for the battle was done, By the grace of the Primarch, the Lamenters had lost only one.
