I actually never thought having the same talent was ever a problem with the NWA/JCP. They had the Horsemen, the sky was the limit. Everything went down once Arn and Tully left. And even then Steamboat returned and Terry Funk too. Then Sting became a main eventer.

As soon as Meltzer starts "analyzing" business it falls apart into a nonsensical, ADD-addled mess. He should stick to telling stories, gossip, etc. He's never understood business, much less wrestling business.

This was a terrible podcast because of the narrator. The questions are poor. Meltzer is an encyclopedia of wrestling history, and the topics about each show you decide to discuss is pretty awful. Almost no conversation about star ratings or matches. Its all about the circumstances around the events and the condition of each company. The shows arent explained before hand. Its almost as though you need to read the Wikipedia page about each show before listening. Off top of my head, i dont know anything about Starrcade 84. After listening to this, i still know dick. Flair is on the show. They talk about Dusty becoming the booker and a dusty joe fraizer match that never happened. "Lets talk about what led in to this" "ok now lets go through the card, what matches stood out to you in this" " how do you rate this overall show?" "What was the behind the scenes stuff on this show" Thats the way these could have been great. As opposed to rambling aimlessly about behind the scenes stuff and never really talking about things that happen on the showz

These clips are all part of a bigger podcast that he does with another partner where they themselves run down the card and give their thoughts on it. They did the same for all Wrestlemania's until 2015.
