Valles Marineris is the largest canyon in the solar system (and as we know it now, the universe)! It stretches across Mars, making the Grand Canyon look tiny in comparison. This video covers the leading hypotheses about how the canyon formed AND modern research about potential water on Mars!

So, the planet Mars which is only 11% the mass of Earth has a canyon, Vallis Marinaris, that is 10 times the size of the largest canyon on Earth, the Grand Canyon. Nice, nearly even, dichotomy.

I think you should speak for yourself, I have lots of clues. What's your problem, dude? Jealous much? When it comes to having "not the slightest clue" I get the feeling that is your area of expertise though. I'm sure you have "not the slightest clue" usually going on. TMYK, pal...

I used to build trailers with my dad when I was a teenager, and I used the plasma torch and welder just to play with some scraps and I noticed this pattern across Mars and it’s not just isolated with Valles Marineris, no; these seem to resemble scars from electrical excavation, way more than anything formed by water that we see on Earth. I’m wondering if you considered that as a possibility. I’m kind of a nerd, and I see the Electric Nature in everything we observe, and I just had such a blast seeing all the evidence unfold especially this last few years. I’m glad you showed the scale of the Grand Canyon compared; it used to be a hypothesis of mine, that Mars and Earth had a close fly by and electrical discharge interplanetary lightning had a charge differential disagreement, and I figured both planets had material from their plates exploded by lightning out into outer space, explaining why we have Martian meteorites on Earth, and why we probably will find chunks of Earth over there on Mars. Oh, but the scale difference made me doubtful. I mean I saw that five years ago that my assumption on the similar size was so off but 15 years ago was when I came up with the idea for the hypothesis and I put it back on the shelf for a while, but if Mars was rotating faster than Earth at the time, then we could just assume that that’s how Mars got a scar all the way across one face and larger Earth probably drew all the extra energy that Mars used to have, which might’ve killed its magnetic field, as well, as it sucked off all of Mars’s water. So back up on the possibility board, it’s very possible if you can let go of a few beliefs to be able to really hold it up there and see all aspects. Like I DON’T believe that the whole solar system is all the same age; like all the planets, just born in the same conditions, and ended up so different. I think there’s tons of evidence of recent reconfiguration and destruction. I mean just look at that asteroid belt! So maybe Saturn was its own solar system flying down a separate circuit and Earth could’ve been Saturnian, and we brought along Venus or maybe it was the other way where we were already here with our star, and Saturn showed up with Venus and Mars and that’s why we’re such a rare solar system with all these rocky bodies close to the Sun. But I bet that would change the Sun’s electrical output, and probably the frequency tone that is always playing and that would cause all of the planets that were perfectly lined up electromagnetically to change their frequency also and everything would reconfigure, yet again! So I’m just into more like hypothetical scenarios because it seems like the further out-of-the-box I go the more that I can make sense of things, especially every time I address the electrical nature that plays a role, all these things that we had to write off as anomalies with no explanations suddenly have a perfect fit. Anyway. I love your stuff!!!💗⚡️🌀 Keep growing and always keep the questions alive!

I can't wait to see more of this series! I love the depth you went into about multiple theories for how the canyon could have formed. The thought that Mars probably had an ocean was so cool when I first started hearing about it. Like, there must have been all sorts of interesting transitions between the primordial magmatic state of the planets, and their current states we see. Planetary geology is super interesting, and I'd love to hear more about it! Sticking to the theme of Mars, maybe another topic could be about the ice caps. During the extreme seasons, a signifigant part of the atmosphere freezes to the surface at pole that is in winter, and then sublimes during the time towards the equinoxes, probably causing some epic windstorms in the process. The wind has always been my favorite of the classical elements. It may seem weak, but it is unrelenting, and acts on an enormous scale. It's one of the main forces that shapes the Martian surface now that much of the water has frozen or escaped into space.
