Love the idea of a species profile series. Whether weekly, bi-weekly, or even monthly would be great. Just my own opinion, but I think it would amazing to have a good mix of uncommon, unique, interesting fish, as well as some profiles on common fish that that we may already have in our own aquarium. It's fun to learn something new about fish you already know and love, but it's also great to learn about new species that you may want to acquire :)

Try dwarf puffers
@Helveteshit6 жыл бұрын
The only way to make it cheap in terms of aquarium, would be to build a wooden aquarium with one window. Since then you do not need to invest too much cost on the actual Glass/Acrylic. (Since you can get the depth/size much easier then) But ye, the food cost is expensive. But that is only because obtaining the food isn't easy. I guess, if you were to buy a pallet or more of those clams at a time, you might lower the yearly cost a notch. The snails can be raised in a plastic tub. Majority of them are quite easy to breed after all. You can run it all on the same water system(sump), so they are cycled. Fiddler crab, is probably the most expensive part really. Unless one manages to secure a pest free Crayfish or other freshwater shrimp food for it. But you will need to raise it yourself then. Which can require a bit of an operation.

This puffer variety in particular is near-impossibly expensive to keep, but not all of them are. There are dwarf puffers that are much easier to keep and are still very cute.

I am going to check and see if you have done a species profile on Pea Puffers (I do second the idea of a species profile series). I think doing one on Pea Puffers would be a great idea because they are the puffer that people are most likely to be able to care for (smaller tank, smaller food bill etc). Btw I adore guppies too! I think you have already done a SP on guppies though! Thanks for the great content. Kelly
