LENNY Dude when I was an IT Specialist for the USGovernment we used to go to this building \ company for Computer Training Courses. They would supply lunches that were nothing short of EPIC! The classes were good too. My co-workers and I toured the very same computer \ electronics museum you are sharing. AWESOME! My first Cell Phone was the Motorola RAZER. I got it because it looked like a Star Trek Communicator. The USGovernment stayed with Blackberries FOREVER! We had a Blackberry Phone Support Team. That old pay phone was EVERYWHERE in my childhood. I remember the blue box & whistle. I say no more. I am a Gentleman now. Bill Gates used it too! There was a clock winder job in the White House.

I had a Playschool Computer when I was 5 years old. I took it apart, my grandmother scolded me. I put it back together, it worked. My grandmother never scolded me again(when I took stuff apart).

There is a store similar to this one in Newnan, Georgia. It's in the downtown area in a "blink and you'll miss it" kind of spot.

Thank you for this! I'm still amazed how close we are to each other. I grew up in West Baltimore and worked in Timonium then Hunt Valley before moving to York, PA. Very cool you shared this video at System Source. Keep finding and highlighting awesome tech (and audio) places! :)

For historical purposes, the reason Pay Phones went to tones was because you could trick the earlier ones into thinking a coin was dropped in by shorting the handset mic to the coin return. Always carry a bobby pin or paper clip to use by sticking one end into the mouthpiece and touch the other to the metal of the coin return. It would trick the system into thinking a coin dropped. So they went to tones as technologies progressed. Actually to tone, singular. The first was a single tone, 2600Hz. A person could whistle that tone and trip the system. A blind kid discovered this by accident. People that learned the tone were called phreakers. It was called phreaking. people like John Draper were originally single toners. Because it cost them money, AT&T went to multiple tones which is why multi-tone boxes were needed. Draper was one of those that made the jump.

This was very interesting . I remember the first home computers were crazy expensive, such as $10,000 back then, which would be something like $80,000 today

Hey Big Lenny....Just describing it is memorable as a Baby Boomer and familiar with the computers you mention and the Story of the Captain Krunch Whistle. I was a Super Beta Owner...and Sony Trinitron Owner as well...and playing Total Annihilation... System Shock...and crying 😭 I couldn't finish the Crusader Series by Atrai! And I and now my ex had the opportunity to buy Apple stock at $1.24:and Windows for 8.45 with $20k and she said no. The test is history 😂 and now you know why 24 years later I still get the Thousand Yard state when I have to be in her company.

The Sirius "Movie CD" uses it's own codec that needs it's own player program. It's not compatible with the Video CD format. I still have the "Dominion Tank Police" movie CD in my collection.

I cannot believe the only 6502 CPU based computer they had was the first Apple. There were soooooo many early home computers that were much better that used the same chip but faster version. Atari Computers, Commodore computers, etc.. Not a sign of them there.

This place is a mess - has lots of fake items -and is in no way near the largest retro museum in America. The CHM and CMA would take umbrage with your claims.
