School in India and USA.
Soumya attends the largest school in the world in India, while Keanen studies in a school where everything is fun and games in the USA.
Keanen goes to school with a smile every day. The most important rule at his school: Learning must be fun! Instead of sitting still, these pupils dance on their tables and sing, play video games in class and have teachers who rock with an electric guitar. Keanen's school is based on the "Harry Potter" books. Even the dining hall is made to look like the one in famous Hogwarts. The school system works just as it does in the epic fantasy series: Pupils are divided into four houses. Keanen's target is becoming the header of his house - just like Harry Potter. For this, he needs to pass a special test today and teach a rap recital to all of his classmates that they will present to an audience of several hundred in the end. Will Keanen keep his nerves?
Soumya attends the seventh grade of the world's largest school in Lucknow, India. She needs to be careful not to lose her way. The City Montessori School has a total of 55,000 pupils. Her grade alone has nine parallel classes with more than 50 pupils each. Soumya is ambitious and wants to become a software engineer one day. She takes us along to her favourite subjects:
Maths and Computer Sciences. Standing out from the mass of her classmates is particularly important to Soumya. To achieve this, she has been practicing for the seventh grades' singing competition for months. She wants to sing a song about friendship in her native language Hindi. Will she manage to hit the right notes with the eyes of her 700 fellow pupils fixed on her - and can she take home the first prize in the end?

@akshatsharma1
@akshatsharma1 3 жыл бұрын
I live in the US, cars aren't that expensive here. You can get a Ford Fusion around 20 lakhs here but you'll will need to pay 40 lakhs in India because of obscure laws that add 17% taxes if you buy a car that is more than 4.5 metres in the name of "registration charges" and 28% GST + 20% CESS +5% Insurance. Also, most Americans go to government schools also known as 'state schools' which are almost free and nearly everyone goes to these schools and the rich kids with poor grades usually go to expensive af private schools where they're parents can "settle" the stuff down and probably because they don't pass the entrance exam of government schools but they are perceived as of a bad notion like the private college going students in India.

For those not from the US: The US school shown is NOT typical of schools in the US. The children who attend this school come from a sub-culture in the US that is largely not successful in achieving their full social and financial potential. The reasons for this lack of success can be argued, but the facts are not argued. The most important aspect of this school is hidden beneath the dancing and singing and table standing. The most important aspect of the school is the 50+ rules. The rules teach the children from the unsuccessful sub-culture the social expectations of the predominant culture. Having internalized and practiced these rules, the children will know precisely how to navigate the broader culture in a way that will allow them a more fair competition for positions of leadership and financial reward as adults. Highest praise to the creators, educators, and to the donors who make this cultural education available.

Great documentary, this explains how US produced great singers who had millions of YT views, great gamblers who make money by fun gambling and become millionaires while the hard working Indian students work as software engineers and CEO's for these US kids. It is good to see Indian parents struggle day and night to pay tuition fees while their US counterparts get charity funds. Both are different cultures and they are good in their own way. May God bless all the students of the world.

After spending 14 years in school, I realised that I have learned only very little. So I spend another decade educating and training myself on self-discipline through understanding and practicing few important morals and ethics. Now, that have made all the difference. It as helped me to develop an impeccable sense of responsibility. I enjoy meeting my responsibilities. None of my "teachers" helped me with identifying and developing the much needed morals and ethics in life. Schools gave importance only for ranks and grades. Not in developing us into better human beings. Indian schools are developing well taught slaves for corporates.

However with a sudden and the most unexpected breakthrough was to major in Foreign languages. Any one who had failed to do it they were considered as a failure! Indian schools are so suffocating. You're not allowed to be your own person. You're not allowed to talk, drink water or even just stand in the corridors. Extreme attention is paid to Unnecessary things which inhibit a child's capacity to think originally. So much focus is given to studies; and sports and extra curriculum activities are just a formality and seen as a waste of time. Private schools' teacher's are poorly qualified and parents have to pay extra money for their child's private tuitions. And its still better for private schools. Govt. Schools are in even worse conditions.
