This is the largest unicorn buck in the world.
In the spring of 2015, Dave Kopp found these sheds on his father-in-law’s 46-acre Ohio farm. So he asked his father-in-law to hunt the following fall, only to be told no. The months passed and in September he showed his father-in-law this rub that he found on the farm and asked to hunt again, only to be told no again.
A week later this happened. “and then it was about a week later and I. I called the email of all emails. In the email. He said, Dave, if you hunt only that buck, no, doe just that big one. You can hunt out here. So I was. Ecstatic.” Dave hunted hard the entire season, passing on several bucks that most people wouldn’t have thought twice about shooting. The rut had come and gone, and Dave began to think that the big buck wasn’t around anymore.
In late January 2016 though, Dave got the email that changed everything. His father-in-law had sent him a picture of this giant, and he was in awe of the size and amount of points that this deer had. All the email said was, Dave, I think this is the big one. It wasn’t until February 1st that the wind was right for his ground blind, so Dave had his father-in-law drop him off in the side by side so as to not run the risk of spooking the buck by walking in.
A couple of hours later, the buck was standing 20 yards away from the blind, and Dave took the shot. The buck ended up scoring a whopping 267 3/8” with 31 scrabble points, including this unicorn point coming straight out of the skull, making it the largest unicorn buck in the world.
Check out the full story on the buck by clicking the link pinned in the comments!

Everybody saying the father in law is mean for not letting his son in law hunt on his land have some really creepy issues. The father obviously wants to keep his land an animal refugee area with no hunting. Can any of you understand that. Some people want to keep nature as it is. Leaving wildlife wild. And not killing every animal on site because the wall is important. Let animals just live their lives. Don't get pissy because someone wants to wake up, go for a walk, and see a beautiful deer. Do damn. I am not marrying a hunter if they have such standards of just murdering all of the wildlife on an arra they own. Yall really need a walk or something in nature.

There are a lot of whiny babies in these comments lol. I'd probably let family/friends hunt my land for a large, respectful sweet meat/jerky tax, but we don't know why anyone doesn't like that. People are FIRED UP in these replies hahahaha. Maybe mans just likes the control and serenity of knowing those animals are still oblivious to the sound of rifles. Idk, and it doesn't matter. I don't care if my own family said I couldn't use their property, I'd bust their balls and accept it and still be their family 🤣

😢it's a shame that you made an avid decision to take the life of such a majestic and resilient being such as that buck was. How dare you destroy so.ething so beautiful majestic, powerful, and wise creature, that he was only so you have bragging rights to show off, my father was an avid bow hunter ,president of wapsi bow hunters league ,hunter safety instructor and mentor to numerous people ,of all ages, but he would've made it a point to respect those that he hunted and your trophy unicorn buck would've been off limits, simply due to the fact that buck had earned his pardon, had likely sired many ,of which I'm sure you probably hunted and snuffed out ,how wise and seasoned he was and should have been a force of obvious respect and appreciation, but instead 1 season with you and A majestic king among kings, becomes nothing more than a show piece,a bragging point and 15 sec lot of fame for you, so congratulations, you killed an amazing example of only what mother nature could give life to, what u did is unplayable and disgusting and disappointing, and last but not least ,disheartening. Keep up the good work DAVE

I know I've shot a few, bc I hunt for meat not for the sport of killing to brag. Why the need to boast about it on your wall instead of in her majesty? Please understand, I support hunters and hunting. But, trophy hunting as as little to do with hunting as fighting dogs has to owning a personal pet.

Damn son, your father inlaw won’t let you hunt out there. Maybe I’m a fool, I am only a son in law but anything I have is open to the family to use. Hunting has gotten too wrapped up around big bucks and scores and all the crap that hunting was. I started hunting 32 years ago because I wanted to and it was what my family did. Now even more so it is about the relationships and time spent with friends and family, I don’t give a rip if you shot a spike or a booner they are both something to be happy for your success in achieving the goal you set out to do.
