▶ My "It's Just A Video Game" Series: kzbin.info/aero/PLC-g_SCGiW2tt81LDA1co6kTdnb7TDVyo I do okay? Leave a 👍 if you enjoyed watching! Video Games are by no means the best medium of storytelling, the same applies to Books and Movies. What only matters is the audience... you... are happily and passionately invested into a form of narrative (whether its for entertainment, art, and/or education) you come to appreciate, love, and enjoy experiencing wholeheartedly. All of these media platforms share one common goal to tell stories to; connect people worldwide, spread knowledge and wisdom across all generations, and aspire us to make a difference in our lives as well as others to pursue our own success. Let's all respect and acknowledge every single form of storytelling and continue to witness these wonderous arts together. Personally, Video Games has taught me more than anything else. Although, my mother has raised me to become the lovable and kind man I'm blessed to be today... the clueless and carefree young boy I was before wasn't aware of the society we live in to be beautiful and extraordinary, but also dark and cruel until I played my first storytelling game to ever leave me devastatedly heartbroken, Infamous 2 *(HIGHLY RECCOMEND)* . You play as Cole MacGrath, the main protagonist anti-hero on his quest to defeat his nemesis, the Beast. The gameplay was uniquely designed as you faced various types of different enemy factions in different locations in New Marais. I'll always choose to do the righteous acts without any second thought throughout the entirety of game... until the ending. An ending I won't spoil, ironically speaking, had me very emotionally conflicted between both good and evil choices that would save and sacrifice one or the other. I realized the world ain't all sunshine and rainbows, that life will be challenging and the future is uncertain. But playing as many great characters who never gave up, who overcame the odds, and who believed no matter what the chances are... inspired me to become the greatest protagonist I can ever be in my story!

Honestly, the three big ones for me were Valiant Hearts: The Great War, Ghost of Tsushima, and the Tiger Tank mission in Battlefield V. In all of them I genuinely felt for the characters, Valiant Hearts was an amazing experience full of charm and sadness especially towards the end. Ghost of Tsushima I played entirely in the old Japanese black and white cinematic mode which looked weird in game play but was fucking phenomenal in cutscenes and truly impacted the story. That tank mission in Battlefield V was ok in the beginning but once it lets you out of the tank it starts to get good, the last stand after driving through a decimated German street was fun in game play but absolutely beautiful in dialogue and in the final cutscene. It genuinely angered me that the screen blanked after a single round goes off because part of me wanted to believe that the U.S Soldiers shot the German with the SMG in the tank but the other side of me knew for a fact that the German in the tank was the one who fired that last round. Over all, this video is lit and there were other games I wanted to talk about here, but I didn't want to waste your time with a fucking novel of emotional moments in games that I enjoy.

If I ever have children I’ll directly share my games with them. They have to laugh, love, hate & cry. It’s a good experience for them & myself. So they know what it means to be connected to someone and to that special someone to lose, they have to go through nice times, sad times, joy moments. It’s life and it would be a good idea to show the kids what life means, that would be the easiest way to communicate that to them. But in the End of day we aren’t adults, inside we are still children.

"It takes a strong man to deny what's in front of him. And if the truth is undeniable, you create your own. The truth, Walker, is that you're here because you wanted to feel like something you're not: A hero. I'm here because you can't accept what you've done. It broke you. You needed someone to blame, so you cast it on me: a dead man."
