My wife is also from the Philippines, I lived in Bantayan Island and Cebu City for 10 years. I miss Bantayan Island but it's nice here in Spain too. Mayen Perez who sings here is from Medellin, it's north of Cebu island, she used to sing in Santa Fe, Bantayan island.

With that comment I just wonder where you have been during your 11 years in the Philippines. Filipinos have a great love for country music and have a natural affinity for it. The home of country music in PI is in Baggio as I remember but you can hear it everywhere .And you only have to look on YT to hear more singers like this one

I just now found your video, I guess by chance, really it's my good luck. How I found it came to be when I first searched and found Heidi Hague's English version, and next to her was you. I'm going to be honest and say you both are wonderful singers, no competition from me. Again my compliments to you on a very meaningful song. know most members on you tube don't write such a long "book" as I am here. However one more thing I'd like you to know Mayen is that I firmly believe Filipina women are among the most nicest, loving, and beautiful women anywhere. I know this very well because I married the love of my life who is from Manila. She's there now in Cavite with our daughter on an extended stay. Now I can't wait for her to hear you sing this song.
