Hi Rob, last time I stripped a Lambretta was in 1967 16yrs old, so my youngest brother has become a mod and big follower of scooter meets. Me being a motor tech (retired) has the job of nut & bolt restoration of a series 3 GP200 electric,your videos videos of the rebuild of the TV175 very informative.better than having to flipping pages of manuals every 5 minutes. HAHAHA! it does actually stabalize a little when going 90km/h. Shame worthy replacements are not available. Maybe have to send it over to Jem Booth for a propper overhaul.

Hi Rob, I came across your channel last week as I have just bought my 1st lammy in 50 years😮 a Servetta Li150 with a SX200 in, been riding my LML 125 (DR180 kit) since 2011 but now sold it. 1st saw the video on the QR2 Brake cable, ordered one and have watched all your vids on the TV175, love every one of them & very helpful indeed & also quite a few of your other video's, keep em coming please 👍👍👍

Just watched from part nine through to the finish, excellent! I passed my test on my SX200 in 1969 and I had a reverse pull front brake then! Speedo's are something else on Lambrettas though, only used as an estimate. I'm sixty seven years old now and I still miss my scooters.

Nice build Rob, looks like speedo needs looking at aswell as the clutch. Teething problems are part of the joy of building / owning a lambretta - keep up the good work👍

Just slacked off the clutch cable, 2 minute job. The owner is thinking of sending the speedo to Jem Booth for an overhaul.

Cracking series fella, just watched from the first instalment :D Great info on the workings of a Lambretta, I got my first Lammy last week, a restored 1967 Li125 Special with an AF Rayspeed 200 engine. I also have an 87 Vespa T5 Mk1 and have always been Vespa but so far loving the Li and with your videos, I understand a little more of how they are put together :) Thanks Buddy, really enjoyed these video :D Subscribed too!

I forgot to say I was interested in your comments about about low vibration levels ( for a Lambretta) ! I too was pleasantly surprised how smooth my 195 kit is, I think the Vape flywheel helps as its also a quality bit of kit. I also fitted a Casa Cooler, again a solid bit of engineering that helps the engine rev freely and is doing a great job of cooling my engine here in the Spanish summer heat.

In that respect, the 195 kit is smoother than the 225.

A certain dealer of long standing high reputation is currently developing an inboard disc that works and looks gorgeous. The memory's i hold of owning lambretta's are not for sale...I''ll give them away... My first bike was a 66 starstream jseries 125 i purchased from a garage sale. it was in boxes and i quickly put it together and it was only missing the light ring, bulb and a couple of cables...this was 89' and very few lambretta's around. i quickly went thru 3 more with the last in 2013...i don't need to tell you about the good or the bad only that a lambretta is to a scooter boy like a football is to a striker...must have at ur feet. i now posess a simple 64 allstate that if i need to go to the grocer, one kick and im off! very nice TV, I miss the sound...

Yes, no problem. I have used a 175 box in 3 builds now. I think it's because the RT is a nice smooth and torqey kit.

Hi Rob Very nice job on the TV175👊 I have a TV175 which was this metallic blue when new. I must do a complete rebuild so will follow your videos one by one ☺️ But to get starter I was wondering if the blue colour on the one you made is liike the original one ? and if I kindly could have the colour code so I can give it to my painter to get the project started 👍 Pleased to hear. It will perform a tiny bit better on a standard motor. Remember to jet up slightly.

@@kickbackgarage ahh ok. I can never return to Norway apparently. I got a speeding ticket there back in 2009 that was equivalent to about £650. I was told I have 14 days to pay it and if I dont pay it I will have to serve 15 days in jail and still pay it if ever I return. Needless to say I have never returned. Tho tbh since seeing how nice Norwegian prisons are am now considering it as an all inclusive holiday for the price of a speeding ticket! 😃
